I hate the fact that Hot Toys seems to go out of their way to cater to the extreme minority way too many times. I don't think most people even bother to play with the eyes of these figures. Adding the crappy PERS for those few people was not worth the reduction in likeness and the ugly pers panels.

I can only speak for myself but when I have a choice I generally have the eyes looking slightly to the side or up rather than dead straight ahead which can seem a little lifeless. I don't see why every Batman can't be designed like the Affleck figures with the removable eye pieces. When he can't move his head it's important his eyes can look to both sides.

Do you have the figure? I had it briefly and the eyes looked very lifelike. As others said, since the head can’t be rotated, having the ability to move the eyes becomes more important than other figures. Not sure if the eye plates requires a panel in the back.

The panel only seems like it would be noticeable if you display the figure backwards. I’d likely pick this up again if I expanded my non-Star Wars collection.

I always think Batman looks best with his head bowed and the eyes looking up or slightly to the side. It's just nice to be able to have the choice when posing him.

Thanks -- yeah that's Jaxon's work. The stock cape really isn't bad but there's no comparison given how this one hangs.

Agree on the Jaxon cape, have one on my Returns figure. 100% improvement on the stock cape which I could never get to sit right.
