With the confirmation of Batman, I just preordered Joker 2.0. Looks like I'll be cancelling my 10 inch Beast Kingdom preorders.

I don't think they put 2.0 up for PO yet? Only a reissue of the first one.

That sculpt looks awesome... but I thought they said they were going to Make the the Mob Boss Joker next? I love the museum Joker and it makes more sense since they have the outfit already, but I was looking forward to the Mob Boss Jack.

Ah, I see. Oops, looks like I made a mistake. I'm fine with the reissue, but will swap of 2.0 is significantly better.

All indications are that 2.0 and other Joker releases will be different costumes. Museum Joker, which the teased expression is from, looks to be one and another confirmed Joker they’re working on is the mob boss version. I don’t think they’re upgrading the one they just shipped out.

I’m hoping for mob boss. Museum can easily be achieved with just a headsculpt. The mob boss has a whole different suit.

I hope Hot Toys realizes how much money they have left on the table in regards to the Joker.

I get no Phoenix Joker, that seems to be out of everyone’s control, but not having a Nurse Ledger or a new purple suit or a Mob/Museum Joker or Romero Joker just seems like a huge oversight. Baffling really.

I’m looking at the insane after market prices on Hot Toys Nicholson and Ledger and it just strikes me as odd that they’ve done nothing more with them despite having the licenses. They’re letting these other toy companies just come in and take from right under their nose. Hell, some of them use the Hot Toys bodies, templates and sculpts to make their own high quality knock offs!

It’s just insane to me. But sure Hot Toys, go ahead with another Gilgamesh, Black Widow or Mandalorian Trooper.

Yep. Lots of cash left to grab in the 89 Batman license but HT doesn’t seem interested at all. I’m hoping InArt has their hands on it.

Maybe they’re trying to catch it before anything starts by deleting it. They showed very little of the 1.0 during its time in production. Probably showed the 2.0 to let ppl know what they’re working on so no one would think they were done after this 1.0 and deleted it, hoping nothing will come back and bite them in the butt.

Holy moly I’m definitely in for any and all Burton Batman figures they make. That Joker sculpt looks fantastic.

I missed/passed on the DX09 originally, and have regretted it ever since. Considering how good their knockoff DX Nicholson Joker turned out, I’m definitely going to order one.

And yeah, Hot Toys has completely dropped the ball with DC. It’s shocking that they allegedly paid out the ass for Nicholson’s likeness rights and only did the basic figure and the mime version.

Hell all,

I was able to score a sealed DX08 and DX09 that I just opened and unboxed today. I gotta say, man these two are gorgeous, I’m glad I was finally able to add them.

Regarding the DX08, unfortunately out of the box, the chattering teeth were missing, which is a bummer, (not sure if that was a common issue) but I did have a Q. This may be just a nitpick, but I’ve gone back through some pages to try and see myself - does it look like the forehead wrinkle on this example of the sculpt is a tad over pronounced/under painted, perhaps?? Or am I seeing things? Lol

I was planning on adding a second head sculpt anyways, as I was worried about leaving the hat on for too long could stain, so if anyone has a regular DX08 head they’re willing to part with, I’m interested haha
