Here are two shots of my DX02, took the belt off and I'll leave it off until it dries itself.

Flashed and un-flashed.

I've got a plasma Pioneer too, so nice tv...
Nice figure too, I have the same too with oil problem! ha ha...

why do they put oil in body suit???

Anything that needs to be flexible has some sort of a derivative of an oil in its compound to maintain that flexibility. Bags, tires, wetsuit, etc. And without it the material becomes dry and brittle.

So, when it dries up (if it ever does) that wont' be any good either. :(

Well if it is really an oil and you don't touch it it really can't dry up. The residue in my oil paper did not dry up either so I doubt it will happen.
Like woman, can't live woth them , can't live without them :D

Nobody likes a dried up woman - that's when the KY comes in handy ;)

Anyone know the actual cause of the oil. It is quite interesting how a 2mm thick piece of rubber can ooze so much oil. is the silicon actually degrading with air contact? If so this will be a much bigger problem in a few months!

Mine came oil stained right out of the box.

Too many theories to recide here but HT is looking into this. The best observation thus far is that it mainly impacts the front part of the suit as it is a seperately glued to the back/side and there seems to be residue all alongside the joint on the inside. Almost as if the residue is oozing out from those locations and simply move down along the edges to the bottom of the abs and then up the ab plates. Deterioration and spread are concerns beyond just the presentation but let's not panic and wait for an official reply by HT as there is too much guessing right now as none of us really understand the material science behind it (but I do hope HT does)

Mine finally started showing, but I never would have noticed it unless I'd been looking for it with a bright light. I removed the belt and will leave it alone and see what happens.

How long was that? if thats the case I'm not out of the woods yet if yours just started to show now...

It was out of the package about 3 days before appearing. And even so, it's just barely noticeable on the bottoms of the lower plates.

I just received my 2nd Batman DX figure and it has the oil as well... I guess it's inevitable for now.
