the thing that seems undisputable in my eyes is indeed the shape of the sculpt, it got vertically squished in production. I think fixing the eyebrows and eyelashes go a long way to helping the likeness be brought out.

I still dont have an in hand example, so I guess I can stop chiming in till i do lol.

Im really not meaning to be negative or rain on anyones parade who has the figure, just wanted to provide some HD shots from the NYCC for reference

For me...likeness is there and spot on in hand. Hands down. Lol. Only real complaint is the irises. The proto from NYCCC made him look too old and almost sick because of the gloss and facial color tone. I'm just realizing this too because I originally liked the NYCCC pics, which are also completely different from the first introduction prototype mind you, so it appears they've progressed this figure across multiple transitions to get the likeness down (which I think they did). Even the repaints of this sculpt by folks who are trying to mimic the NYCCC proto look green/yellow, making him look sick again. Lol. Just doesn't look good, nor does it look natural...at all.

Got an email from the blitz...
I assume the delay was so the owner of Blitzway could open mine and have a good look at it. He then took it home over the weekend and repainted it by hand....at least that was my takeaway from all the *cough "facts" posted here.

Seriously, I am thrilled to get this and am reserving my personal opinion until I have it in hand.

I really hope so, and I'm pretty sure I will.

I tease about all the hype and speculation, and I get it and know there are collectors with pretty high standards and I respect that.

It's just one of them figures that doesn't photograph terribly, but just isn't representative of what you see in-hand. It's an absolute beaut in-hand.

I agree, it looks great! Of courseit's washed out in direct sunlight, anyone who knows about photography knows that is not how you would actually shoot something like this, all bleached out, but it is a great way to referance it and it sure stands up to the test!
I can't wait to get this!!!!!

I'm starting to come back around to wanting this. Some pics make it look really good, others still look pretty average. There seems to be a lot of variance from pic to pic. I think my expectations were way too high for a production figure based on a way too good prototype. Then those really terrible photos right out of the gate. The hair still bothers me but from normal viewing distance it is probably fine. I still have some nits but it looks to be in line quality wise with a good hot toys release. The extras and packaging compare favorably to the dx line.

I do wonder if blitzway would try a Interview with a vampire Pitt & Cruise and Banderas would be a fun line up even with mini Kirsten Dunst would be a fun line imo. Not enough vampire's in 1/6. Anyway back to project Mayhem.
