For those that have the Ikea Striberg LED lighting setup with their Bestas, can you clarify what I may need? I plan on having two frames with a total of four shelves with lighting.

I understand I need one of these: ANSLUTA Power supply cord https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30121411/
I then would need four of these (for each shelf that needs lighting): STRIBERG LED light strip 22" https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80292071/
And then do I need four of these as well? ANSLUTA Intermediate connection cord https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/60119925/

Does that seem right? I don't have a local IKEA to check it out in person so I'd have to order online.

For four lights you'll only need three intermediate connection cords and one power cord.

Early photo of my new set-up, freshly built and still filthy out of the box. I put some figures in to see how it looked.

Sindvik glass doors, Valviken drawers at the top of the bottom cubes and Valviken doors for simple cupboard space at the bottom. Books will go in the two open centre cubes.

Next step is installing the lighting.

Will Premium Format (25.5") fit in the glass door cabininets? (I see the door are only 25-1/4" tall, but since you have two on top of each other could you simply put the shelf a little lower and it will still be covered by the frame of the lower door?

Is it possible to fit 25.5" tall premium formats in a besta with a glass door? The glass door is only 25-1/4" so wouldn't the shelf be below the frame of the glass door if you had an open space below the shelf where the premium format is going to sit?

If you get the Glassvik their boarder/frame allows for minor shelf adjustment without it looking odd.

Thanks. Doesn't the Sandvik also allow the same?

And another question - if you place two vertical besta frames side by side, can they be secured to each other?

Lastly, if installed on thin Berber carpet, do we need the legs?

This will be my first Besta unit. Thanks!

ok, you win this thread. So those are Besta's on top, what are the drawers on the bottom called as well?

That's exactly what I've been looking for. I have my sectional next to a wall and was thinking a setup like that would work perfectly as I can store things underneath and then have the displays seen above the couch.

Does anyone know how much one of the SINGLE Besta "cubes" (Or Stuva cubes, which are basically just a deeper Besta) can hold on the top weight-wise?

Really? And here I was afraid putting a PF on top would destroy it... Just paranoid, I suppose. ;)
