“Wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me you built a time machine…out of a DeLorean?” – Marty McFly

In the 1980s classic movie, Back to the Future, the lovable teenage Marty McFly is accidentally sent thirty years into the past in a DeLorean time machine by his eccentric scientist friend Doc Brown. Doc is a for sure pickup for me. Marty is a “we’ll see” at this point. I want the Einstein even though it doesn’t look that great. Not sure if it’s worth double dipping for essentially the same figure.

This is great for those that have been wanting Marty. Einstein looks awful though so no need to double dip. I think it’s funny they didn’t even update the stand to fit the dog on there with Marty.

May be a 2.0, but I'm honestly just glad to see Hot Toys release something that isn't Marvel, DC, or Star Wars related. Maybe older licenses aren't dead.

Sculpt is a slight improvement over the original, but still nowhere near as good as it should be, so I'm just going to stick with my original figure and hope a better custom sculpt comes along someday.

You can aim to get Inigo's custom sculpt. Looks to be the best likeness of Marty on the market. He's gonna be doing a neutral Doc sculpt as well.

Is this being released straight away? TW says September 2021 or is that a typo as Doc Brown is April 2023!

Quick question. Do they fit in the car? I read on Instagram that the first figures barely fit in or couldn’t fit both at the same time. Is this true or was that person pulling my leg?

This is a trap. If I get one , I have to get the other. And if I get the mix then I need the other important character of the movie, the car.

I think so. The early leak has it as a store exclusive this year in Japan. It also has the tweaked head sculpt. Whereas Doc was not advertised for the store, is using the unchanged sculpt, and the general release schedule is now reaching 2023. Makes sense to me for Doc to be on the normal schedule and to have time for alterations to be done to his sculpt.
