Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Captain America: Civil War - Black Panther Collectible Figur

Man, I really hope the details are captured in the HT figure. There's so much beauty in it. The "Suit should have a cloth-like look to it whereas the promo shots look like it's that shiny rubbery stuff ala the MoS Supes.

Well...Gotta join the folks who are noticing how off the mark HT is with this one. Almost wish they'd pull a "Drax" here and delay it till they try again to get it right.
Sorry. ..but the HT suit looks like a cheap knockoff compared to the shot of the actual suit.

Really like this character's cinematic introduction in CW...but as it looks now, this figure isn't a great looking sixth scale one....

It's a prototype, they will definitely change it. It's almost a guarantee.

I really don't see the problem with it. You are always going to get the bunching at the shoulders and legs when bending the arms and legs. I can't believe people compare it to a statue that doesn't move. Of course it will sit better on a statue that has no articulation.

They did a great job with the TASM 2 figure and recently the BvS Superman figure, so I don't see why this will be any different.

I hope they use a more cloth-like material too. Plus, using that material means there's less chance of deterioration/breakage over time, and it's less likely to stretch irreparably if you leave him in certain poses.

I hope they make his figures with a head that can look up really high, so I can get those pounce/on-all-fours ground poses.

My only issue with the prototype pictures is that there needs to be more separation in color with the areas that are supposed to be silver (vibranium) compared to the pure black of the suit's design. If they can do that then it will be much better.

The suit is supposed to be entirely made out of vibranium...not just the silver parts.

Yeah I guess that makes sense considering he was bullet proof in Civil War. I was comparing it to Bucky's vibranium arm that's all silver and reflective. I want those parts of his HT suit to be reflective like that.

I'm not sure it's ever been confirmed what his arm is made of.

The only time I remember BP having a reaction to Winter Soldier, was during his escape after he was activated. BP had the metal arm in his hand and the plates moved. I think he was surprised by it. And T'Challa didn't have his suit on during that. I don't really remember any "interaction" between the suit and arm.

I was wondering about that, when ever T'Challa fought Bucky there was odd noise emitting from his arm, since the first time it happened Panther wasnt wearing his suit I thought it had something to do with Panther's ring, I cant quite make out what was it, like something Panther had on him would mess with the arms mechanics

Arm is definitely not vibranium. In that scene, I just thought they were grappling ... each trying to get the upper hand and T'Challa, with all his strength was surprised he couldn't overpower Bucky and vice versa.
