The cowl off look actually works better for this figure than others since there's a sculpt that has the black make up around the eyes still. Something they avoided in other Batman movies.

Yeah. That and the messy hair.

Besides, with Pattinson in particular, as I mentioned before, when the cowl is off, the character doesn't disappear in my eyes as he does with other iterations. I still see Batman and Bruce Wayne as one and the same.

That was a point of a lot of criticism for the film, but it's actually something I really liked. You have a tortured Bruce Wayne who hasn't learned to "take off the mask" in front of people, and during the day. He wears it all the time. Even when the cowl is off.

Those poses look amazing. And when the cape is properly fuzted it looks to be accurate in length.

Wow, that looks fantastic. It's also the best I've seen this figure look, period.

That was one of my favourite aspects of Pattinson’s Batman also. A brilliant touch to show how all consuming his thirst for vengeance is and to affirm that Batman is his true face; the public persona of Bruce is the mask.

Anyone who failed to grasp this characterisation and deduce the clear intention to explore Bruce’s character growth in future films where he will inevitably realise the necessity of crafting a publicly palatable, unsuspicious alter ego doesn’t deserve an opinion.

I think a lot of people who want it to be what their perception of Batman is, would have wanted him to have his playboy billionaire persona. I personally love the different iteration of Bruce as it's inspired by certain comics like Earth one and Batman year one, Long Halloween etc. And having a different interpretation of Batman is fine as long it's not something that doesn't deviate from the core character. I'm actually excited to see how the second film goes, and how he develops.

Completely agree, Pattinson's Bruce and Batman felt more intertwined and honestly I enjoyed that, it reminds us that Bruce is a real person with a profound pain - in many ways he is the first Bruce that made me feel like I could understand why he is Batman, and his Bruce wasn't another mask or persona but the man himself.

Something that makes me disassociate from the Bale portrayal in particular and other Batmen in general is the whole "Bruce is a mask" angle making him a caricature of a person, yet he is also "a symbol" as Batman and must be "more than a man".
Meaning there is next to no opportunity to really connect to BRUCE as a person or character - he is instead presented as just a series of masks and personas with little humanity to relate to.
This for me is why the best Batman is the BTAS Bruce Wayne/Batman - when Conroy's Batman is Bruce is in no way less "himself" than Batman - as Bruce he still reaches out and tries to help people, he has friends and connections to life that aren't Bat-oriented, he is still himself, Bruce isn't a mask.
Its also why I love Keaton's Bruce - he is still himself when he is Bruce, he fights corruption out in the light, he is involved in politics, he combats dodgy business moguls like Shreck, he is engaged with the world around him and the people in his life, he doesnt act like someone else when he meets Vicki Vale or Selina, he is entirely honest about who he is as a person with Vicki, his dinner with her in the kitchen with Alfred is just so human and wonderful and something you would never see Bale do because Keaton's Bruce is still authentically himself - Bruce shouldn't be JUST Batman's human mask.

Pattinson's Bruce feels far more real and human than Bale's Bruce ever was.

I agree on all points. I think the main issue is that most of the batman iterations don't show us who Bruce really is in terms of his character or at least Bales version didn't show us his character 100%. Keaton, Affleck, Pattinson, Kilmer all showed us how Bruce should be portrayed and are very reminiscent of BTAS Bruce. The thing that makes that version so beloved is because we spent time and seen who he Is outside the cowl. So I do hope Pattinson becomes more of that version.
