BBTS has started taking pre-orders for this. Apparently it is being re-stocked?
Don't trust BBTS about this. They have done similar things in the past where they advertise for preorder long sold out items only to not have anything materialize 7 months later

Its slated for May 2024, so it could be extra stock they acquired from Blitzway like when they acquired 10 or so of the 1984 Ecto-1 last year. That version they marked up to $3k though...

3 weeks from now, i expect Blitzway to announce a restock/Reissue of 1984 Ecto-1 after the release of Frozen Empire (the car has been restored to look like 1984 Ecto-1)
it baffles my mind the weathered version gets restocked 3 Times since Release and 1984 Ecto-1 doesnt
BBTS restock doesnt count, that was a scalper move to sell at 3000$

My guess would be no on a re-release of the '84 ecto. I'm pretty sure that the afterlife ecto that BBTS is slating for preorder is found inventory and they're probably banking on a surge of interest after the new Ghostbusters movie drops.

I think the most accurate for Frozen Empire Ecto-1 is a repainted Blitzway Afterlife Ecto-1.
We can still see some rust here and there, as well as the gunner seat in the middle.
It's a shame Blitzway lost the license.

too bad they lost the license, hoping Hot Toys or anew company do the new version, i like teh Drone and red stripe in front add ons, teh tube should have stayed Blue
