Uncanny likeness /s

So true, lol. Suit is not bad though, and the tiara helps the overall appearance. After the initial disappointment I’ve actually gotten some enjoyment out of displaying it. From a few feet away, standing alone it looks like… a representation of Mera.

I managed to crack a rib at the weekend so my work on this has stalled. I did manage to shorten the trident. It was 27mm longer than the JL Quindent.
It does look a bit chunkier than it should be and it doesn't help that I think the JL is scrawnier than it should be.

At least it will fit in my shelves standing up now without an issue.

What did you do? I would put it in a vice and 1) use a hack saw to remove the threaded section at the end, 2) remove another section from the staff to shorten it to the desired overall length, and 3) then superglue the threaded piece back onto the shortened staff.

I’m not going to that trouble but just curious how you modded it.

That would certainly be an original way to break a rib :ROFLMAO:

Sorry.

I measured the male thread and it was very close to an M5 thread. I unscrewed the tined section. Taped up the end with the female thread to avoid damage to the staff and cut it shorter with a pipe cutter. Retapped the fresh end with an M5 tap and screwed it back together. It's just how it was, just shorter.

Got her today! I have no idea why this figure got such a backlash. She looks very beautiful in person and if someone can’t see likeness there they need to check their eyes. She doesn’t photograph well tho. I thought I’d love red hair version more, but I prefer the knightmare version, rich colors and looks majestic. Paint is very good. Also she isn’t as small as I thought. My main complaint is the hilarious body, breasts and butt are too big and unrealistic. Well made figure. Weapon is airbrushed idk why others said it was a solid green piece of plastic. Overall I’m happy!

I agree with all of this. Better than expected. The biggest disappointment to me is those weak-ass early Wonder Woman-type wrist pegs.

Oh you did a great job with the hair! Looks so much better! Gonna do the same once I put her out for her forever display. Hair looks perfect length now!!!
Haven't checked wrist pegs, just inspected them. Suit looks truly amazing.
Thanks! I did a sort of halfway-boil wash. I boiled some water and put it in a cup. Dunked the head a few times while combing it and warmed it with a heat gun.

The wrist pegs being so small AND having gauntlets that push them off make holding the already large trident harder to do.

Yeah, I feel bad now about not correcting that. My first impression… which as you all know for the figure overall was not good… was that there was next to no detail for the paint on the gun. In fact it does have a blackwash to it to highlight the three dimensional details or contours. I was being glib in the context of how low effort I feel they made for the figure. I should have corrected myself, apologies to all.

Anyway, I do still think overall the figure is extremely low effort by Flashpoint Studio. But by the same token it has actually grown on me, though. I actually like it better than Flashpoint Studio’s Knightmare Deathstroke figure. For me Deathstroke is the most disappointing of the lot for the Knightmare League display.

I ended up snapping the elastic band on mine and I'm glad in the end. It just sits on the front now. Can be knocked off but fine with that compromise.
