I really love this pose....

They could have done that 2 pack and just a 3 pack if they're insistent of offering more. The hospital one is the least wanted I'm assuming and they already reached this supposed price threshold so I'm just baffled of that one figure in particular.

One things for sure, it’s always nice to see new announcement photos from them. There’s just something different with the level of realism that comes off of them. You don't get the usual feeling that you’re looking at a plastic 12 inch figure.

Arthur, Bathroom and Murray looks the best to me. Don’t care to have the clown version at all, even though the happy expression on it is really well done. Tempted by this but curious to see what pricing will be like through sellers. I believe it's $980 and $1400 in HK but that's before we get hit with seller mark ups. I'm guessing $1100 and $1600 through Kit/GianToy. I'm leaning towards the 2 pack so that you get a nice difference in how he started off in the movie and how he ended. Having 4 figures for this seems rather excessive.

Is JND even doing one anytime soon? Didn't they say they are only doing TDK, Potter, and LOTR for now?

They haven't even done a 1/3 version yet.
They more or less have the same licenses as INART but it’ll be a while before they get to him if I had to guess. Rumor when Ledger Joker was announced was that Bale Batman and Harry Potter would be next. Bale is being announced soon and then HP would be after it. He could be after those 2 but if not, you’re looking at a bit of a wait for the announcement. I’m guessing something LOTR related will be after HP since they showed off the license already.

Just pick what you want to wait for and find more value in. JND will probably do a single figure with 2 sculpts for $1200-$2000 like Ledger but you’ll get silicone and whatever else they might pack in. Maybe a slightly better suit/sculpt or maybe it turns out worse. No one knows atm.

Regarding the Fleck close-up above, that's a great likeness to Phoenix. I do wish he looked a little more melancholy though instead of so stern. But it’s of little concern.
I kind of like the expression, it’s a bit more versatile than a mopey Phoenix in civilian clothing. Would look good holding the cigarette in a display. It’s a shame they didn’t just repaint this sculpt into the Joker look, as the red suit likeness is off a bit. The sculpts do look really similar though, perhaps they are the same sculpt, which would be weird that the likeness wouldn’t translate to the other.

I’m actually wondering if the Fleck and Red suit sculpts are the same - just with and without the make up. If so, it’s probably going to come down to the position of the eyes because that red suit shot definitely has melancholy in those eyes.

The left ear on the Joker sculpt looks really weird and a bit inflated. Needs less of an angle, thinner, and a bit more height.

I’m going all in. This is one of those rare moments where we are legitimately getting MULTIPLE versions of a singular character in one shot.

We have collectors wanting a nurse Joker, police uniform joker, joker with laughing expression, a joker with a “not sure if serious” expression etc etc…the only way to get those are through your freelance artists with varying degrees of success.

Now we have the option of a single package (with the proper title of premium) that offers 4…FOUR variations. All sculpted beautifully, haired, tailored…

Gonna have to dedicate a whole section of the display shelf for this dude 😅

They can’t do less than $1000 due to the license restrictions.
I still think this is pretentious as ****. Three different companies made figures for The Godfather, Sideshow just made a licensed Clint Eastwood from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. MAFEX and Mezco have made Alex DeLarge figures from Clockwork and somehow Todd “Old School” Phillips needs to put licensing restrictions in place to protect the pedigree of his magnum opus? Like, c’mon. You made a patchwork quilt out of Taxi Driver and King of Comedy and slapped a DC logo on it. Now, all of a sudden, your movie’s bigger than Coppola, Kubrick, and Leone?

The figures look great, but that 4-pack is excessive as hell…and it’s still kind of annoying to me that they didn’t include a clean, smiling head with the Murray Franklin Joker. The current expression would’ve looked better with blood spatter, IMO.

I think it’s more a WB thing. There were lots of worrying when the film came out about how it might inspire other Joker copy cat shooters and such. They didn’t want to be seen merchandising this Joker the same way they have with the others. Hot topic would have loved to sell all kinds of shirts and such.

We didn’t get any merch out of the gate and it think it was fan demand that finally got WB to consent. The supposed $1,000 product threshold is the rumored stipulation. At that price they can reasonably claim these are collectibles and being purchased by well informed adults and not toys being sold to impressionable children or teens. I’m sure they’d love to make as much from this film as they can but due to the darker nature of the film have been wanting to play it safe (for now at least) and make sure only adult collectors are purchasing the limited officially licensed items.

Maybe in 20 years they’ll have t-shirts and plushies but right now it’s not happening. Maybe Joker 2 will be different?

I remember hearing Phillips wanted to jack the price up for merchandise too.

These figures look incredible though. Im admiring for now, bit likely won't get them. Looking forward to seeing their improved Reeve!

I still find DC’s gun ban silly. Even with this they only have the revolver visible in the full layout shots. Yet they have a cigarette in his fingers in a few shots. Strange double standard. Glad he has both but find it funny how one is ‘ok’ to use in promotion material and the other isn’t. You’d never see a ‘toy’ with tobacco items but so many come with guns. I’d think WB wouldn’t allow either in promo shots but whatever :lol
