Either way, glad that they may be fixing things. However, I feel like they should be getting it right the first time around haha.

I believe it is photoshopped at the moment. That's what the interest list is for that I posted on the previous page. If you read through the google form, there is a section where they're asking for those interest for their thoughts for what all needs to be improved from the HT so they have enough to go by for when they do start prototyping it.

Went ahead and got on that and put my opinion on the mask sculpt. Definitely would like it to be more like Spider-Man 2 in shape and the lense as well. Of course the webbing will be more centered I'm sure.

Funny enough, they messed up on the naming for the slip cover for the figure. They have it as the "Integrated Suit" when that belongs to the Holland figure. Even has Hollands Integrated Suit chest symbol on the background.

Think he's referring to the facebook photos someone posted earlier of Hot Toys "fixed" masked.

Looks nice but what's the price we talking about? If it costs alot more than the whole HT figure it's not worth it to me.

Yeah, after seeing the disappointment and reaction from everyone these past few weeks, no doubt in my mind that Hot Toys does a Maguire Spider-Man 3.0.

That one will purposely have something frustratingly “off” about it too.

Imagine paying $350-$400 for Spider-Man, then the masked head ends up being so off that you gotta scramble to get custom for even more $$$. So frustrating. Love how Hot Toys is doing a soft “recall” to fix the problem like the Begins glossy suit. You didn’t realize this when it was in production for two years, gimme a break.

Hmm, the figure was already overpriced to begin with so I don’t want to fork out custom money to fix what is only the most glaring issue.

Even with a great mask, the body proportions are still embarrassingly inadequate, the unmasked sculpt is a glazed-over chunk of meh, the suit materials are a classic HT mish mash of inflexible inferiority, and the colours and webbing aren’t up to scratch.

A new head only saves the head when an entirely new figure is really what’s needed to save this character.

It's a replacement head from secret base in Hong Kong. The seam has no difference to the previous one.

Everyone is in for custom pieces until they see the price. They’re probably gonna charge $300 for a custom masked sculpt

So does this “fixed” batch still have the noticeable seam and knob on top of the head? Maybe the switch out portrait isn’t a good idea? That seam line on the neck is unavoidable, it’s not how the movie suit was done.

Yes. The only thing they fixed is the location of the web pattern. They moved it up to be in between the lens.

Some custom artists that think their is worth the same or more as the price as the figure is always funny to me. $50 yes, $100 if it’s a big enough improvemen, but the people that charge $200 or $300 for a head sculpt (talking about a masked head like Batman or Spider-Man) can shove it up their ass.
