So torn here. Almost prefer the Wandavision costume + cape. But the colours look a lot blander on the Wandavision outfit.

Was on the fence and decided to wait for this version to decide for my ultimate Wanda. I think this might need to be it. Depending on deluxe price.

You have to wonder...if they'll use the same sculpt for both Scarlet Witch figures.

Both have light up eyes feature and hair fits both, so why have 2 different sculpts ?

Simple word : Disappointment ! Considering how other companies become competitior in business and reveal great inart series with such realistic sculpts and hair roots etc... HT is still making fun of with their fellow customers i have waited this figure so long and especially waiting a badass witch expression and a better costume detail this one is just as same the latest version such a big disappointment hope Queen Studios or someone else make a new one for this movie version.
Hopefully they don't follow other companies and revert to doll hair figures that only the hairdresser types will enjoy.

When the first pics of MOM Wanda were revealed, I was let down because I really liked the bare shouldered WV version. The poofier hair as well. But apart from the MOM version representing the Wanda I enjoyed more purely as a character, looking at the two figures together, it puts things into perspective. The truth is, the WV is just too techy for me. The same material, the same Y-esque shape that makes every single MCU costume look identical and most of the time, bland. Random lines, random geometrical shapes that look like chips; it's a generic MCU "sci-fi" costume that could belong to any superhero with any kind of powers. Not to mention that in the figure the bare shoulders don't work and make her look more toy-like.

In contrast the MOM version looks properly witch-y and the sleeves maintain the illusion. The muted colours hide the generic MCU aspect of the costume, and the lack of an awkward cape sell it better. The tiara missing the fill-in black pieces makes it look like devil's horns too in a way, beyond being headgear. The torn waistcape adds to the flair.

I think there are things to like in both looks, and technically Wanda at her cabin was the best she looked:

But the figure lacks the poofy hair, and in that gif all the glowy aspects are obscured by the lightning, whereas in the figure they're visible, making the trite MCU pattern stick out all the more. In the MOM figure everything's more subdued and with some good posing you definitely get the vibe of an actual Demonic Scarlet Witch here. The colours, the flair, the look, they're there. If it were up to me I'd have made some more changes, but the simpler colouring pair of deep scarlet + black, as opposed to all the light red/pink/scarlet/black/grey/metal combinations of the WV version, works much better.

For my money, I'm glad I waited. In theory I could wait more and get a "perfect" one (hopefully with a proper Witch-y costume similar to her current comic look) but I did both enjoy her role in MOM and this technically being an evil/posessed version, means I can double dip and not feel as if I'm getting doubles. Some characters I can justify that due to the displays I want to set up.

The second hair sculpt looks like it will hide the neck joint. Finally it looks like I will buy a wanda figure.

Nice response. I was probably 70% towards the MOM version, but you sold me the rest :). There's just more going on with the MOM version, and a less bland costume as you also mention. Wired tattered skirt also brings something to the overall look as well.

That deluxe base would be a sweet addition, but not sure if I have the real-estate for it.

I'm guessing that crossed leg pose will be also tough on the material over time. However would be nice to see a closeup and see how the stressed the material is. With a bit of luck they have her in that position in Secret Base for the usual suspects to post some pics and videos.

I don't think this looks very good, the material choices for the outfit make it look very plasticy.

I'll agree with you about the neck piece, but it could be equally argued the previous version looks very pleathery, just waiting to flake.

But I'm waiting on some better "realistic" photos from Secret Base. So hard to tell from these blogger photos.

While I think the MoM sculpt has an overall better likeness, shes clearly the villain and has a more angry/determined expression. WandaVision has a more calm elegant youthful expression. I like how the front of the cape covers her shoulders

It really depends on the display you're going for. If you want her attacking the MoM works best. If you want her to look more graceful, especially if youre posing her with Vision, WandaVision makes more sense.

Its cool how the dream walking effect can also hold the Darkhold book open.

I don’t see this corrupted, LED-less, capeless version being anymore “definitive” than the WV design. The shattered, torn, corroded costume is great as an evil version of this character but just seems lesser in some ways. (except maybe price). Awesome looking portrait though and the swap out hair is neat.

So is that he tiara pegged in the hair or is it a molded piece? Having the option to remove the tiara seems like a small bonus.
