I was so psyched for this and the Avengers line. Ended up selling my IM, Cap, Thor and will probably sell this on also. Took too long to get them. Didn't even open Thor or display take out Iron Man. Only checked out Cap. The wait time for these kill the enjoyment now, within that time I decided I don't want to collect Marvel Hot Toys.

Will see how I feel when I get this. Will probably end up stuck in its box and will sell down the line in favour of more exciting things that don't take as long to come out.

It's not worth it to pre-order HT figures nowadays. Like you said, they take way too long to come out, and when they do, they almost never sell out quickly anyway. You have months, maybe even years, to decide whether to pick up a figure before it sells out once it's available for general purchase from the usual places. Waiting 2-3 years for a figure's release after it's announcement sucks the fun out of the hobby; you're spending more time waiting on stuff to arrive than, you know, actually enjoying the hobby. Just focus on the stuff that's available now. That's what I did starting last Fall. The Miles Morales Spider-Man 2020 suit was the last HT figure I pre-ordered from SS, and I promised myself is the last HT I pre-order period.

Just finally got my email that it's preparing to ship! I'm excited to get this in hand just as much as the day I ordered it.

glad to hear that

Mine actually shipped today. I was surprised as I just got the preparing to ship notice a few days ago, and I got it for my GA WW84 on 5/1 and that still hasn't shipped.
I guess I spoke that into existence as my GA WW84 just got marked as shipped as well.

Feels like Christmas with these two on the way, just got The Fiend little over a week ago, and my Dock Ock arrives tomorrow!

June 😔. They didn’t even bother to send me the “payment rescheduled” email this time. Had to read it off of the order screen under my account. I guess they figured I should just expect this by now. Just two more pushes to make this a three year wait.

And they pushed my Mando Boba Deluxe to June as well. They could have at least shipped one or the other or realized they were not availing me to the benefit of EITHER of their recently received stock. Sideshow hates me 😔

I wonder if you change it to switch to single payment if that would change it to where they don't just keep pushing it and it can come at any time. You wouldn't have to wait for that specific date.

Great idea! Certainly couldn’t hurt….

Although now they’ll just withhold the shipping charge instead of the final flexpay 🤦‍♂️

Add me to the list of people who recently got a preparing to ship notice from Sideshow. I've been going back and forth on keeping my preorder (the snap scene is still a huge MCU moment, but I feel like the need for an EG display has passed... as my Cap stares at me in judgment), but the balance charged, so I'm in for it now!

Got mine today and will be posting pics later tonight. First let me say it lived up to its billing. Damn fine figure. But when you take him out, watch the waist region. He has some mean arse sharp pieces that give you a surprise stab if you're not careful.

I would also add the batteries are a damn bear. Its not so much putting them in so much as getting certain pieces off to access those compartments. The instructions are epically worthless. The back and thigh pieces are tricky because the pegs hold tight near the bottom, so its not as simple and pulling the piece off as the instructions illustrate. And given those cover pieces are plastic, you risk breaking them if you pull too hard. Plus you have to watch using any kind of tool because you don't want to scuff the paint. They really need to rethink their system for attaching these parts.

And if you use tweezers to handle the batteries, PLEASE do not use those included. That plastic tool has zero grip. The second you apply any meaningful pressure to install the batteries, they go sailing right out. Use regular tweezers or needle point pliers.

The batteries are a pain in the butt for sure. While I currently have the clean mk85, I’m guessing the battery placement is the same on this one. I didn’t even bother with the ones that go into the legs. The panels didn’t want to budge and since I bought it on eBay there was no way I was going to get a replacement if I ended up breaking it. Just didn’t seem worth it but it did damper the experience some
