Made a backdrop for better photos. Still shot with my phone, but rather spend money on figures and parts than a decent camera :D ...someday.
Repaint and re-weathered the ornament; also made a chintzy display stand out of parts from my plastic scrap bin.
Apologies for the multiple posts but having a lot fun with these two :)

Thanks guys!
That hidden wire is a great idea. Im not big on stands but whenever I get a new place and new shelves I have plans to incorporate diorama type floors; I?ll keep the wire trick in mind when that time comes :)

A slight nerve-racking experience after spending the time to paint this sculpt - TWICE - but got around to adding hair to the Iakaru Bounty Hunter. I am relieved it turned out ok and that he is finally finished 😅
Hope to practice hairing techniques on future customs.

Been way too long so I started working on Amanaman again. Here are some progress shots from the past few weeks.

I re-sculpted the upper arms and shoulder sockets to accept the neodymium sphere & disc magnets for ?articulation? - holds a pose wherever the weight of the hands lay. Also threw some extra wrinkles into his elbows.

Armatures added prior to sculpting the fingers.

Installed cylinder magnets for the hands and wrists.

Puttied over with minor sculpting to better fit each other - not seamless but I figure the paint and pose will hide that. The wrists can turn but since they are axial magnets it is only a 360 swivel.
For his left hand I aimed for the palm-up position that holds the corpse... that and him holding the bottom of the staff are the only 2 positions I have seen him in (TaliBane?) so this guy can do both :)

...and finally ready for paint. Excuse the mess ...and my lil helper ;)

So very happy that Cagoda created one of my favorite background characters :yess:

Next step, to tackle the 3 skulled staff.

Nice progr?ss !! And cool idea with the magnets. I have a few and they don't initially always come to mind for some applications. But often they are the best way to do things.

I almost thought you had an advance copy of the Hot Toys Heavy Mandalorian there in the background !!!

Or did I just bust you JC Hong ??
