That period had a few extremely disturbing horror movies, in the Exorcist, Rosemary's Baby, the Omen, and Texas Chainsaw. Though social norms played a role in the impact of something like Exorcist, it stands as one of the great horror films because it is a great film across the board. Seems like nowadays, the upper tier filmmakers and actors shy away from horror, so we mostly get derivative junk by comparison.

Absolutely. Whether it's to be considered withing the genre or not, The Exorcist is just an exceptional film, categories notwithstanding.

Texas Chain Saw rules supreme of the genre IMO. 35 years later it's still my favorite horror movie of all

"Challenge" also being a key word here . There have been some worthy suggestions in this thread, but some of them are pretty much guys in suits, and I don't think that's what he exactly meant

It's a phenomenal documentary that really clears up alot of the misconceptions about the film. Everyone needs to watch this.

Inspector Abberline From Hell - He could come with all sorts of good accessories Opium pipe, Absinthe, Laudanum, matches, shot glass, spoon, sugar cube, notebook of the Ripper murders and grapes... another dream figure for me and never been done also challenging.

I've been catching up with the thread but the thing that sticks out to me the most is what makes Regan such an "important" character....having just watched what Turbo posted...the film was based on an actual exorcism back in 1949...i'm sure the sensationalism of the film added parts but some things stayed the same....evil demon spirit...death...satan....lol...either way...and again this is my opinion...but why would you want to have something stare back at you that was based on what could very well have roots in actual evil...?...I saw people posting that this is a story of triumph of good versus evil and that this would be a great representation of it....when in actuality...it would not....not unless you make Karras as the main character and regan as the accessory...lol...but I digress....I get it...shock value and RM doing it...but to those with kids...how do you explain to them that daddy or mommy loves the little girl that was possessed by an evil demon and say its "art"...?...to me...it was the main reason why I never followed through with this very same project I had actually started 2 years ago with some board talent...

I do congratulate RM if he goes this route and more so the folk that will have a very hard to beat representation of a demon.....LMAO...ok...i'm gonna stop jabbing you guys...lol...

also...was this ever really confirmed by RM himself...?...or was it one of those RM whisperers that confirmed it...and are they reliable?

Seriously? With the 'RM whisperers' BS again? This was a term coined by one or two members that was based on absolutely **** all and has now seemed to stick as a go to point for people in any given RM thread. Didn't expect that from you either I must say man.

If you read the thread you will see that Lee told me he had 'almost decided' on Regan as he likes making horrible characters. I have never pursuaded him either way as I am done with high end custom art figures and also have ZERO interest in this anyway. In fact I told him the majority were actually favouring Hook and Duke however he has chosen Regan. As it stands.

Not confirmed nor was it said it was confirmed: hence no thread yet.

Hope that clears it up.
