Defo ordering the full set. Works out at £377+delivery from sideshow so probably around £400.

Will just claim the VAT and customs charges back and get sideshow points as well.

Lots of posts over the past couple of days in here, must easily be the most active thread. ;)

I don't expect any of the single figures from this set to sell for less than US $250 each (complete) after-market. If absolutely every other anticipated and beloved character from Hot Toys is any indication, you can be sure the complete sets will also rise sharply and quickly after retail availability has dried up. While I expect the DX12 aftermarket to take an initial hit, it's not going to stay down. Hot Toys has, historically, made a great speculators' line.

And yeah, I'm down for the full set. ;) This might be the only Hot Toys offering I actually partially part out, everything else I keep complete even if I don't ever plan to use all parts.

I find OSB is consistently the lowest prices for Hot Toys in the UK, and other figures. I picked up the Morgan Freeman CEO fig on their site yesterday for £75.00

Yet still, lots of UK folks go for timcent (eBay) and end up paying a premium. I can't really understand why that is, aside from the urge to be the first ones to get them......

Alright so I just made a PO on alterego and used paypal cause it's my business way to pay for merchandise. However it charged me the full amount, now this is my first time with alterego, does anyone know if they will refund me back the full payment? I think if that's the case I might as well just pay with my credit card because I'm not going to make a full payment and wait a year..

Since you paid with Paypal, it's full payment upfront. Same goes with paying with Paypal on Sideshow. It states on the payment page that if you pay with Paypal, they charge you full upfront the time you make the payment.

Paying by PayPal
We gladly accept payment via PayPal. Please note that if you use PayPal, you must complete the payment process on the PayPal website during checkout. The money will be automatically deducted from your account, even if the item(s) in your order is a Pre-Order. If you do not complete the payment process on the PayPal website, your order will be incomplete and will be deleted.

Hmm, interesting. I paid with PayPal only to avoid having to type in all my credit card details (they even offer it as a suggestion on their site). Sure enough, as others have mentioned, the full amount was put through, funded with my credit card (which was the intention). I just sent them an email about it, but obviously I don't expect a reply for at least a couple of day because of the New Years holiday.

How do you pay with paypal on SS? I'm expecting further currency drops so locking in now with full payment is attractive.

Can't wait for this set. Its been so hard not pulling the trigger on the armory thats on Ebay, glad my patience paid off.

When you're on the check out page, it's under billing. Just click PayPal and it'll switch the payment method over to it. It's on Credit Card via default.

That's probably misinformation as they used to accept it, but as far as I know, haven't in over a year - at least not via the web site - maybe if you call them or email them.

The only reason I can think of why they have to take the whole thing up front with PayPal is that capturing an authorization for funds to be collected later) expires after something like 30-40 days. You'd have to put through a completely new transaction later for the balance - and that would have to be a manual process completed by the BUYER, unlike credit card where you authorize now and they can just debit your card any point in the future to finish it off.

They accept Paypal again directly on the website when checking out a product. They started doing so when MIDAS when up for PO and now it seems to be a standard payment method options. Like AlterEgo, if you pay via Paypal the full charge is taken upon completing the order as apposed to using a Debit/Credit. Great for those who are fine with laying down the payment now and not having to worry about it until the figure ships.

Hmmm. Don't have that option. Wonder if it is because it's an international order with undetermined shipping costs...
