Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

At that price point I would rather they took all the time necessary to nail it though..

Nah ...Sideshow have made it pretty clear that they consider the size as the sole justification of the price.

Initially there was talk of going the extra mile on Legendary Scale but the Darth Maul and Wolverine released so far show that its the same old Sideshow when it comes to accuracy and making an effort to match the prototypes....

Mike, do you still make gun belts, holster, bags and whips for the Raiders Indy PF?

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

thought we would have some news about this by now.

It is really weird.
The first early WIP images were over 2 years ago.
They showed a prototype that was 90% of the way there over a year ago at SDCC2012. ....sure the eyes were off but not that hard to fix ...and we've seen the fixed head sculpt photos already....

What is the delay in even giving us new pics now !?

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

its been over a year since we saw it at comiccon, maybe they are starting from scratch and doing a new pose too.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

Yeah, after Batman, this Indy and Punisher, I'm done with SSC. They are not professional as to their release dates and have no problem charging an NRD and having that money for over a year with nothing to show for it. It's an expensive hobby, only getting worse, and with SSC's Q/C and release dates bumping all over, it's just not worth it to me anymore.

You sure are going to give them a lot of money before you say you are done with them.

Re: Indy Legendary Scale? Looks like it!

I'm beginning to wonder if they didn't scrap this project all together. I'm not following the LSFs too much. Of the ones released so far, how have they been received with collectors? I just wonder how well Sideshow thinks they can move a $2,000 item on a license that clearly doesn't have a huge fan base. They had trouble selling through a 150 es $500 statue. I hope they come through in the end, as, while this piece is way out of my price range, I know alot of other folks are patiently waiting for it.

As far as the delays, there's no denying that Sideshow has gotten worse. 6-8 months from time of order to shipping is reasonable. I think a year, year and a half delay on product is excessive, especially when you hold a collector hostage with the NRD. A lot can happen in a year and a half that forces someone to re-evaluate their orders.
