Eyes are spot on to the film, IMO -

I honestly think the eyes are fine, and that it's simply the lining that makes them look larger.

Because of the small scale, it makes it appear that the eyes extend to the small lining that runs along outside the eyes. One you paint that lining out, the eyes look much more in scale.

Well Sideshow just sold out on this figure which blows because they had no low quantity alert before it sold out. BBTS and Alter Ego are also sold out. I was watching Sideshow's site over the last week and planned to PO later this week. Looks like the BD Mark VII promo will have to represent this suit in my collection. I will not miss the PO for that figure.


Edit: Never mind. I was looking at the EX product page. Whew..... Going to place PO now.

Almost a calculated move where they close it right at that point where they expect a minimal number of extra preorders before release while also scaring those people who do have preorders, and are thinking about cancelling, to keep them.

Does anybody else think the Ex version with the hologram is Dumb, i mean i have it on PO just cause its the same price but, wish it would have been something cooler , the hologram thing doesn't even loook like a hologram just an unpainted gi joe with no articulation., just a thought/rant

I have the Mark I 2.0 Ex that came with the hologram figure and I assumed it would have joints and what not, but its just a solid translucent figure. So if you have a light base to put it on, its probably cool, but otherwise, if there was a price difference, not worth it.

I think you'll find a lot of people here agree with you, more or less. The holograms seem lazy and aren't fun for the majority of collectors - I suspect they mostly sit in the box. That being said, if the exclusive is cool enough, like the Mark VII pod for instance, then more people would want the exclusive and lots of people would probably not be able to get it. What would you prefer?

Since the price is the same it makes sense to get the exclusive, but yess I agree it is a silly extra piece. It would have been awesome if it had been an extra empty helmet like the one that came standard with Mark 2 AU. Painted of course. So The ones that got the exclusive could display it with RDJ head sculpt attached and him holding the empty helmet.

Oh well i am just daydreaming... sorry for the rant...LOL.

I used my reward points and he came out to about $75, but im in cali so im paying an extra $20, then packout and shipping, thats an additional $45~50 over what my PO at bbts is costing me I dont feel its worth it, but ive bought enough from them they gave me the cheapest iron man. Sure I know how much ive spent to get him so cheap.stupid, very much so. Knowing I have the exclusive, priceless.
