Do you also have the card backs? Let me take a look and I'll see. Can you send one up somewhere? I can PM you an email address if that works best for you.

For some reason I never thought about buying legit file cards and re-sealing original figures on them using repro bubbles. Unfortunately, Joe cards are very rarely in that good a condition. The Joe repros are extremely nice, but. . .I just know that they aren't real :lol

I don't really mind Joe carbacks that have the torn off bubble "outline" so long as the art is in tact and their aren't holes. I find that to be more nostalgic as crazy as it may be.
Whats sad is how many Flag Points I have on those things now that I would've killed for in the early 90s when a lot of goodies were getting re-issued via mail-order. :monkey2

Did you follow the 25th Anniversary "Rescue Doc" promotion Mando? Hasbro let folks trade in their old flag points from the original line for Doc figures, which was kind of cool.

I was actually really into the 25th series around the time he was made available, but never got around to getting one. I seem to recall you had to get six stickers from specially marked comic packs or something to even do it though.
Reminded me of Mattel's 200X Moss Man promo where they basically wanted you to go out and buy three or four of the pegs warmers because your receipt had to be dated for no later than roughly a month prior to the promo being announced.:monkey4

Hasbro letting folks use their old Flag/Battle points was cool though. They did that when Agent Faces came out as well in the early 2000s. Given he was little more than a Duke head on (most of) an '85 CG body, but I was so thrilled to see mail-ins return!

Yeah, you had to get those stickers, but once you got enough for one Doc I think you could get up to 5 more Docs just using Flag Points or something like that.

I did pick up the 25th Matt Trakker figure they did as a nod to MASK. Wasn't even a big fan of MASK as a kid, but I thought that was a cool tribute on their part especially how the backpack colors resembled the motorcycle helicopter thing.

Was it from these guys? https://www.beggarscanyontoys.com/category/star-wars-cardback-resto-kits/catId=3466208

From web images alone their stuff seems pretty nice - the pricing is better than others I've seen as well, considering they include all the parts, bubble, inserts, etc. Even repro coins for POTF.
I got a Zartan cardback from that guy, and it is extremely high quality IMO and can really fool people (some here thought it was real even though Zartan was never released on such a card), but it had a flat finish like the Joe cards initially did, so maybe not comparable to the Star Wars stuff.

I had that one, as well, and really dug it. Too bad we didn't get more MASK guys.

Funny that you guys mention MASK. I was just in my garage tonight looking for something and while going through boxes said to myself, "holy s*^t, I have a lot of MASK stuff!" :lol

I really need to go through it all again. I bought a guy's childhood collection 2 years ago and then split another collection last year with a buddy of mine.

And that Matt Trakker figure is AWESOME. I love that they even thought to make that let alone actually release it. I always pray that they'll revisit it again.

did you ever make your poster project?

No, I just haven't had the time to sit and do it. I did decide that I want to make a poster for each film with the corresponding cards but that's as far as I've gotten.

what would be cool is to blow them up to 1/6th scale & card a figure..........kind of like gentle giant's. although i think i would want it removable like theres is.

To be honest, I can't remember exactly who it was from. There are a few sellers on eBay selling restoration kits like this. The artwork was good, but the printing could've been better. If you can get glossy cardbacks printed, I expect they'd be pretty darn nice.

You would definitely need a plastic case like GG just because of the weight of the figure. It would look could though. I guess you could always buy the GG figure of the 12" you have and just swap out the figures.

If everyone had to pick just one Kenner Star Wars figure as the best what would it be? Mine would be Jedi Luke as I always thought he looked cool in black!

Am I crazy or did you post something earlier about a MASK Thunderhawk?!?!?

I did but then I changed my mind as I didn't want to use this thread as some sort of selling advice thread. It should be about are memories of toys and why we liked them. Im against high priced vintage toys anyway as it just takes advantage of people's nostalgia for there childhood. Id prefer to know the Star Wars question as its something I thought would be nice to hear
