Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Hmm... not happy to hear they're giving Hulk elbow articulation. Unless of course what we see is not even close to final and they will add an actual elbow joint.

I can't imagine how arms that thick would bend worth a damn :huh

I agree. :lecture But I still believe that the arms on display at AniCon were the final sculpts, minus the articulation. I honestly think they're still engineering the articulation on the elbows, and they'll go with something similar to the other recent muscle bodies we've seen from them.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Well aslong as i can get Hulk into this pose and leave him like it i will still get the figure. Not at all happy if its rubber tho, unless they've found a better way to do it. It's still a time bomb anyway they do it tho.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Seriously, rubber arms would be a deal-breaker on this due to Hot Toys's track record on such things. I thought the new muscle bodies and the Avatar figure showed they were going away from the rubber bodies.

Not happy either. Looks fine the way he is. HT PLEASE LEAVE HIM ALONE!

I really hope they aren't going to do rubber arms. Please, please, please Hot Toys, add in a visible elbow joint. I figured these companies would learn by now that rubber is no good. No good at all.

:goodpost::exactly:

Friggin rubber hot toys is really starting to piss me off :(

Me too! Just try to remain calm and don't turn GREEN!

After all the horror stories I've read about rubber on figures on this board Hulk is a big no go for me.

:exactly: The horror stories of past mistakes should be enough for HT NOT to go that route again! :dunno

I just posted on FB about no rubber. I might as well give it a try. I just have to ignore the ugly comments that always follow posting an opinion on FB.

THANK YOU! Let our voices be heard! :clap

Let's hope you're right!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Safe Specs! Say No to Rubbers!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

I got the impression that they didn't really care. Did anyone get replacement figures or any sort of reply from Hot Toys?

Nope. I think the only thing they ever sort of addressed was the DX-02 Batman. All the other rubber issues and breakage problems on early Hot Toys were never addressed. My Aliens Warrior is proof of that.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Sorry but NO Way Im pissing away over $300 if there is even the slightest chance of cracking/discoloring. Ill wait to see what happens and get the 2.0 if there are no issues.

Yikes.:horror I'm surprised they're moving forward with the rubber.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Hot Toys has been using better rubber lately. It may be too early to tell, but Keaton Bats has been fine and I think they'll be just as cautious with Hulk. Or at least, I hope.

Hot Toys track record?! You know something we don't? I've never had issues with the rubber bodied figures I've had from them..:dunno That's not to say I like rubber bodies coz lets be honest rubber won't last forever but seriously, "Hot Toys track record"??

If a 2.0 happens. I say make it the right way the first time around! Again HT, PLEASE NO RUBBER!!!!! :gah:

Dude, seriously? Have you been here long? Hot Toys track record with rubber bodies, sucks. Maybe you haven't had any problems with them, but PLENTY of us have. So yeah, why would people want to pay way too much or something that will break down in a matter of a couple of years. And it it doesn't for you, great, but I can guarantee that there will be a large number of pissed off folks who will. Hot Toys needs to fix their problems because people are not happy.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Hey folks, let's keep calm.

So far we are reacting to speculation and from comments from Howard that, let's face it, just recently have not really been the most consistently accurate.

Let's wait and see what eventually is revealed before we start having serious fall-out over it.

I think I will wait and see until the final reveal. I have the Hulk PF on PO. With Skaar coming out awesome I have enough hulk to tied me over until a 2.0 if this one does not meet my expectations. I passed on Hawkeye so I won't be to worried if I don't have the entire team on the first round of figures.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

Yeah, wait until we know more. I'm waiting until the final reveal before I decide.

I own Hellboy and the original OC Bats and whilst I know others have had issues with rubber, serious issues, my two figures after years of being displayed could be boxed up and sold as being brand new. Saying that, we don't know much about what this Hulk figure will consist of and maybe HT will stop with the rubber?

:goodpost:

That HULK should have been ALL RUBBER!

Again, I won't pay hundreds of dollars to get a big-sized Marvel Select toy!

Batman DX09 is the best prove that Hot Toys is using better rubber now.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS - The Avengers: HULK

You know something we don't?

There have been a number of figures with issues due to the use of rubber an there's even a dedicated thread to discussing the matter over in General. Has it all been bad, no, but enough to warrant concern.
