I'm digging this P2 since, as a figure, he looks gorgeous and will display beautifully with my other HT Predators. If NECA fixes their netting and steps up the paint apps on their upcoming 1/4 (I'll temporarily refrain from saying 1/5 because it looks ENORMOUS in person), I'll buy that as well. It'll satisfy my need for a more dynamic, epic display.

Does the mask look good/accurate in person then Blade?

So it's just a thing you use to generate more posts... :lol

Haters gonna hate, but don't be a ____ about it... :lol

See the pics and judge for yourself. I think NECA's mask looks great (maybe a little narrow and snout-ier than the 7" version), but that could just be my inability to process the whole thing from multiple angles. I think I'd have to step back to really judge it. Plus it's in an awkward squatted pose to fit into their display shelf.
Texture seems fine. Not smooth, but the roughness on their mask is less-extreme than on HT because they used pits rather than bumps. Doesn't stand out since everything else is the same. Sculpt-wise, it's great. Unfortunately, we know that's not where the story ends with NECA. I have high hopes after seeing their recent 7" attempts. I feel like they're in a better place with paint now than they were a year ago.

I can't use this as an excuse for my first P2 HT, let alone my first ever HT figure. Someone please lead me to the NECA Predator link.

Very cheap and disrespectful move from HT to just literally clone all the Predators.
Can't wait to see re-issue of P1 that looks exactly the same... Eh, srsly.

I dunno why this paint is soooo poor in color, smooth transitions and details. And this is only a prototype...

hate to be that guy but i think figure wise this looks phenomenal, now accuracy wise to the film i'm not getting in to that asi don't remember it.

It's looks incredible, but it's not the same predator that we saw in predator 2. It just looks like Shadow Predator with P2 armour. oh wait....

Wait... isn't this the second predator in the Artistic Collaboration line as follow up to Samurai? I assumed that since it isn't from any movie...

With way better paint. I'm really disappointed in how the body paint apps came out on Shadow. If anyone wants to criticize something for not having smooth transitions and only two tones, criticize that one. The spotting was poorly-done and some of the black lines looked like felt pen. Classic's paint turned out gorgeously and I think P2 will look nice as well, considering they'll have waited almost a year before releasing him.

That and Tsang's angular sculpts are more noticeable on a Predator with a P1-style head anyway (not that it's not noticeable here; it is, but not quite as much).
