First off, amazing job. Well done, mcbenzi. Stumbled across this thread while looking for some reference for my own Cabin Diorama. Really reassuring to see how similar my In-Progress one is to yours.

Just out of curiosity, what is the measurement of the main wall? The length from one corner to the other? Also, what did you cover the non-boarded side with, if you don't mind my asking?

I knew I couldn't be the only one, NECA's figures are great on display.

Thanks JohnKramer647.. when you have some pics show us. I'm curious to see another Evil Dead diorama. In the page 19 i show how i started that project (https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103650&page=19).

My diorama is divided into three smaller dioramas (the door, the right window to the basement and the left window with the mirror) and when put next to each other as a whole diorama. As the wall of each is somewhere around 8.3 inches. The total is around 25 inches.

The side "non-boarded" I put the boards of wood as well as on the other side and covered with a crepe paper (to simulate the wallpaper) and then painted over it.

Some little updates today:

:horror mcbenzi that,s very impressive , do you mind telling what thickness of the balsa wood your using for the floor and walls :wink1:

Here in Brazil we measured in centimeters. The trickness is 0,2 centimeters = 0,0787401575 inches. I do not know what are the patterns of thicknesses of balsa wood there.

Thanks for the reply! I could post pics when I get further along, but at the moment it's just the frame for the walls and the blueprints. Mine is one big diorama, one piece and it's a bit deeper than yours - it'll include part or all of the Fireplace.

The main wall on mine is 29" across, so it's interesting how close they are. Means both of us are on the right track. LOVE how yours is coming along, looks amazing.

Well... Apparently i'm not allowed to edit. So I have to double post.

EDIT: Apparently, we're not the only ones. Several people are showing off/teasing their own Dioramas on NECA's various sites. Just shows how nice the figures are, and it's true what they say - great minds think alike.

My initial idea was to make a diorama for each figure. When I saw farewell Ash I immediately thought of the scene of the shooting at the door. So I made the diorama of the door. When I saw the Linda's head I thought about doing the workshed.

Later, when I saw NECA's Henrietta i think about doing the cellar. When I saw that the project of cellar fit with the door project I decided to take the side of the mirror to complete. This is good because if I'm short of space I can separate the dioramas in different locations.

About the other dioramas you saw.. can you show me some?

Thanks.

VERY nice. I initially didn't plan on doing a display, until I got Farewell To Arms in my hand. The idea behind mine is to display all 4of them together, when Series 2 is out in July/August. MAJOR props to you, having it be able to separate. Very nice use of space.

The other dioramas are largely talk and hype on NECA's Twitter page - with 1 "teaser" pic. I'll post a link, as long as it's cool with the rules around here.

Couple people mentioned ED Dioramas, YOURS is actually mentioned by Evil Dead News.

THIS is the only one with any pics. But i'll keep you posted if I come across any more, if you'd like.

WOW, it's really coming along! Can't come up with enough unique compliments. I've got another post being Approved with links (if they are allowed), So I guess it'll pop up here once a Mod gives it a thumbs up.
