That's still the prototype. To be honest, for all we know the hat has been fixed and several production samples are sitting on somebody's desk in Hong Kong. However, to be on the safe side, complain about the hat...to Hot Toys (via email or facebook or whatever). Don't let them think everything is perfect and get complacent.

Both.

"If I have to order a custom [hat] I will. But I won't be happy about it!" :lecture

I find concurring with both to kind of weird, but hey, don't let me stop another guy from being weird on the internet. If you can't do it here, there's no hope for humanity.

:lol I don't mind being weird, but let me clarify:

I agree with Cocoboloboy. Hot Toys should fix the hat since it would be easy to do. And I agree with you that people should let Hot Toys know that they aren't happy with the proto hat (although I don't do Facebook).

However, worst case scenario: they don't fix the hat = I buy a custom hat.

Savy? :)

Currently, it reminds me more of a porkpie hat, while it seemed like the original was more of a wide brimmed fedora.

I think that might have been implied once or twice, but I can't recall anyone saying that outright, so...nail hit on head.

I'm kind of curious why they always use felt, couldn't they use fabric with a plastic inner lining to maintain the shape? The actual hat looked like satin IMO.

Maybe the brim thickness would look out of scale?

And come on...satin for $300? Pffft. :wacky
