I mind the origin story....we know what it is. The first movie came out ____ing 9 years ago....he gets bitten by a spider, and Uncle Ben gets shot. We dont need to see it again....

The suits crotch can't actually designed that way, can it? I think this Spidey caught a very bad STD and it caught on fire and left burnt marks.

I think I read somewhere his bulge was too big in his suit so they are probably finding a way to cover it in the post production. Maguire never had that problem because he didnt have any balls.

i havent been following the Spiderman stuff that much, is there a source where i can read what the plot will be about somewhere or if someone wants to just tell me thats ok too...

So they are changing his origin story? like really changing it drastically?

I just think its weird that they reboot it, but from the pics ive seen still looks like the campy feel from the others.

They should just let Nolan do all Comic book movies

I just watched the The Amazing Spider-Man trailer today... i was not impressed with this guy's Peter Parker... i can't even look at him without extreme hate... it has nothing to do with liking Tobey Maguire more, this guy is just odd looking, but not Parker looking at all.

The trailer only includes like a split second look at the suit in action... it shows first person view of him running on rooftops and then swinging in the air towards a building as we see him in the mirrored windows for brief second.

Not really impressed with that part either.

Or maybe they were so encased in the tight fitting suit, so that's why Tobey's voice was so high, now it makes sense.

i hope this Spiderman works out. I just worry they are going to get too campy again with it. I only saw #1&#2 with Tobey and they are pretty awful. #3 was on TV yesterday and i had to shut it off. it was just so bad. Even the effects just looked terrible.

I agree it's hard for me to watch any of the Raimi films anymore. (although i liked 1 the best) I know a lot of people love 1&2, but to me they could be much better...Kinda like the SW prequels.

Regarding the CGI. In this flim, they are trying to minimize that and go with less CGI. Which i applaud. Saying it "takes away SM being a real person" or something to that effect.

But for me i'll say it again. In this film they are doing everything right TO ME so far.

No MJ right off the bat, web-shooters, less CGI, loosely based off of USM, more gritty, more character driven etc. My hopes are high enough but i will reserve judgement until i see the teaser.

It's weird, because for a while I thought Raimi 1 & 2 held up really well, until I realized I'd been thinking this despite not having watched either of them in years. When I watched both of them recently, they really did lose a LOT of their luster.

They did a lot well in those two movies, but they just haven't held up for me. Tobey is definitely one of my biggest issues with it. Over time, his performance went from "wimpy dork with powers" to "whiney, effeminate, ____ head".

I definitely like almost everything I'm hearing about this. Is the costume iconic? Nope. But it still looks good, and who knows, by the end of this movie / beginning of part 2, it could change and have more classic influences.

I work at the local theatre it was on the download list today.

I know i should have leaked it... but the manager was watching it at the same time.

Or at the very least do the play by play... It's nothing special... i just hate that guy so much, he's overly awkward to say the least.
