I seriously considered the cheaper shipping options, too. But ultimately decided, with the price of the set being so low, I might as well splurge a little on shipping!

I would've gone for the EMS shipping, but then I'm pretty much setting myself up for it to be caught by Customs, and getting another £40 added to the price before I can collect it.

If it takes time, but gets through Customs using SAL, I might use AmiAmi more often. It just seems like its taking extra long with everyone else receiving their sets.

I have to say they are both fricken awesome. The only negs are the snaps on Scarecrow's jacket [hard to shut] and the cape system for Bats. Keep thinking I'm going to tear the rubber.

Mine has left customs in Chicago so shouldn't be too much longer. Do packages shipped from Tokyo usually go thru Chicago ? I figured it would go thru California or something.

Well, my set has been "Awaiting Customs clearance" since the end of Wednesday...and there was still no 'we have your parcel hostage' letter in the post today.

Any chance, that because its SAL its just waiting to be cleared through customs and could be delivered tomorrow or Monday, or does it sound like they're already caught it and I've just got to wait for the letter asking for payment?

I hope they don't charge you a customs fee for it. They can be $50 + to be collected by postmaster at time of delivery.

Well I placed my order at AmiAmi yesterday and mistakenly ordered 2 sets . When I got the order confirmation email today with the total I was shocked at the final price (over $500 USD) and thought it was somehow due to shipping charges...that is until I noticed my screw-up. Had to email them back to correct the order. Hope its not a big issue...

Got my set yesterday. Took a total of 5 days to get to me in Calif. Overall a great experience with AmiAmi. Most of their regular prices with shipping doesn't it make financially practical for me to buy from them, but when the price is so much lower than what I can get it in the states with shipping then I'm in.

draekus, it shouldn't be an issue but they do ship the items out quick. Don't know how big they are. Whether they have different departments or if it just a small bunch of people. If they are big hopefully they open the email before it gets shipped out.
