During Frehley's Comets I became close with Ace, and have alot of cool items from him.

The armour limits his articulation a bit and the body was a bit loose on mine.
I also didnt get the "stick" part of the stand

I love KISS. Ace was always my favorite, I guess because he's the closest character to sci-fi. I made a custom 1:6 version a long while ago but its just not Ace.
I recall shortly after he left KISS the first time, I was flipping thru the tv channels and there he was on Uncle Floyd.
I like his Frehley's Comet stuff too!

I'm so happy for you Terminator, that General Ursus has finally come home! Even though his body armor limits his mobility a bit, he shouldn't really do that much anyway except saunter and order his underlings about. That's what generals do! Your General Ursus looks so real in your photos. That's what I love about him. There's nothing dollie about him.

If you dont mind me asking, did you pay under $200? I'm in the market for one, and I cant afford the ebay price of $200 right now. I'm hoping for a used one. I need him and a soilder.

I paid £170 for him which about $260.
Theres another one on ebay right now going for $250.
The soldier cost me about $160.
funny enough i found my receipt for the gorilla captain, and when i preordered he was supposed to be "exclusive," and that's why I chose him instead of a regular gorilla soldier...and I did pay $160 after s/h from Hong Kong.
I bet that's how much I also paid for Ursus. At that point in time, I didn't really care how much they were going for. I just needed some new apes. and i had a job in the slavemines so it didn't phase me.

Ouch. Those prices are getting hotter. I bought my Ursus, Captain and Soldier mint-boxed last July on Ebay, and paid a total of £246 delivered for the three figures. Still a lot of money for me, but well worth it.
Ursus and the Captain can be bought now on UK Ebay for £164.98 each delivered.

The last I heard, Hot Toys were not finished with the POTAs line...but that was about a year ago.
Im just hoping they dont forget to come back to it...and we DEFINITELY need some chimps now!

I really wish Hot Toys were like sideshow and NECA etc in the way that they fully flesh out their licences.
For now, im going to get the Sideshow Cornelius and Zira.
With a new hairdo and paint job, the SIdeshow Zira is actually really lovely. Cornelius needs a better paint job as well. At least Zira has someone to cuddle with at the moment.
I'm never giving up hope that Hot Toys will make more apes. We are coming up to the 50th anniversary anyway...no matter how long it takes, I will wait. In the meantime, we can make our own apes for fun.

Here's me before I put the wig on and before I have blended all the edges, sometime around 7 AM:
And me before I removed the makeup sometime after midnight. God it was a long day and I didn't have anything to eat except for protein shakes. (Didn't want to mess up the makeup on my teeth which were blacked out! It was Kryolan tooth black enamel. Apemania makes a better formula.)

Im going to repaint the sideshow chimps and try my best to add "real hair"
so that they fit in better with my Hot Toys apes.
Still need to "make" a horse too...

You may be interested in seeing this thread's development if you have not seen it already. If you use the Marx Horse as a base, you'd spend less chimpchange than if you bought the rat-faced Horse.
