I'll admit, completely Geared up that dosn't look too bad. but on a truetype, using a minimal ( Shall we say "comic accurate") Quantity of gear, he looks a little too T - shaped on the truetype.

Do you have pics of the Storm Trooper body? Just wondering, because you said you used it because it has more bulk. I don't plan on taking my Storm Trooper apart, so I don't have a clue. I actually used a Hot Toys TT body and attached Snake Eyes' forearms and boots to it and it looks perfect.

The stormtrooper body is THINNER not bulkier! The armor body was designed thinner to look more 'normal' and less bulky when the armor is placed on the figure.

Hey you guys Here is the next level of modification on my snake eyes Headsculpt, it was a royal pain yet long and tedious work, gluing shaping, resetting the visor, sanding it down and wash, drying also had a face lift to make it more porportionate. yet i still feel it needs to be a bit more darker so i am going to pic up a charcoal color steel marker this week. Please tell me if it looks good or a bit more work as i tried to go for a clash between the movie coming out and steel mirror look like on the cover of the snake eyes face at the first pic below. Please all creative comments accepted especially if you feel i t needs more work and what else it needs as well as materials to do so all advise to finish appreciated : )

Anyone else have trouble getting the silencer on the pistol. The hole in my silencer is to small.

Mine was a bit tight, firm but gentle is the way forward.

The suppressor on the Uzi was very loose, had to give the inside a couple of coats of acrylic paint to get it to stay on.

Cheers,
Doug

Got mine in the mail last week, can't open it till my bday tho. The visor on mine looks very crooked in the package. Anyone else have this?

:banana:banana:banana...just got an e-mail from Sideshow, my waitist exclusive Snake eyes order will be convirted. I was really thinking about droping some change on evilbay for one but Im so glad I wont have too.

Just got mine. Right off the bat, I've got issues with the material on his mask and neck not being glued on correctly. One side of his neck was pulled tighter than the other when it was glued to the neck post, and his mask has the weird bulges under his chin like I have seen elsewhere. He just looks weird to me right now.

Guess I'll have to buy a hair dryer and do some work on him.

Despite the obvious issues with the skinny body, and the glue issues that I posted about, Snake Eyes is very awesome once he gets his gear on. I have seen some here say that they like him better without all the gear, but I think that is what makes the figure a real keeper, personally. Now, if we could only get some more Joes!

One question I have for others with him, though. My "scimitar" sword has some oily-looking smudges on it (as you can see in the pics below). Anyone else have this problem? Anyone have suggestions of what the heck is going on, or how I might fix this? Its pretty annoying.

Easy fix. Remove the shirt from the body and put it on again. Make sure that the top of the neckline only goes to the bottom of the headsculpt, not underneath it like it does out of the box, and the shirt will look 100x better. You'll actually lose those MK Goro traps. :lol

And the oily smudges, might they be... fingerprints? Should come off with a good wipe or some soap.

Hello guys I am new to the forum and joined because of the sideshow Snake Eyes figure (80's GI Joe fan). Although not my first Sideshow figure its the one that actually got me interested on collecting 1/6 replicas. I am a hobby prop collector and also very anal you may say when it comes to the things I collect. With that said, I got my regular edition Snake Eyes today that I got from Ebay. I could not possibly conceive paying 60 or 80 bucks more for the exclusive. I get what you guys say about the skinny body of the prometheus but you have to consider that the figure will never look right when you pull it for the first time out the box. Also another point you have to take into consideration is how the figure is photographed and posed. I was going to get the TT body and make the swap but after molding the clothes and nip tucking here and there I am very satisfied with the end result.

Ill post some nice pictures of my figure tomorrow with ambient light so you guys can see how good the figure can turn out to be, I am no professional photographer like the ones that take the pictures for sideshow but I can surely give the figure some life and character.

Take care.

JM

Newbie here, My waitlist for the exclusive got changed to process and I finally received it today. I was surprised for sure. Can't wait to open it when I get home from work.
