Itā€™s the in thing to hate on Hot Toys. InArt is the savior of sixth scale collectors.

I donā€™t think this figure is flawless and Iā€™m not even sure if I want it but people love to get digs in whenever they can regarding Hot Toys and how InArt will inevitably be so much better despite not having anything to base that off of from the InArt side of things.

Hating on and criticizing HT has been happening for years now. It didnā€™t just occur over night nor was it the result of InArt bursting onto the scene. With all due respect Mike, it seems like YOU have something against IA. If people are excited and are waiting for a new company that has already proven itself with 3 releases; Joker, Pennywise and Gandalf- ALL BANGERS BTW, why not just let them be excited with anticipation for IAā€™s Batfleck?

Their Aragorn and Cavillman look phenomenalā€¦so folks canā€™t and shouldnā€™t expect IA to do a better job? Their Battinson hasnā€™t released yet, but HT version did. And yknow what? HT version STILL looks like toy.

I mean, itā€™s really not that hard to see why this happens right?

Nobody is telling them not to be excited for IA Batfleck. Make a thread for it (if there isn't already one) and geek out. Sounds like fun. I love threads like that.

That's what the fans of this HT Batfleck would like to do IN THIS THREAD but it's become a place for the IA purists to use as their emotional tampon, apparently. Kind of a drag, tbh.

This thread doesn't seem very welcoming to ppl that wanna geek out on this new figure, unfortunately.

It is what it is, I get that. But good lord, at some point you gotta realize how ridiculous you look putting so much effort into complaining about something you're supposedly not even interested in.

It doesnā€™t and shouldnā€™t take an IA purist to see the flaws in this figure. You got folks that donā€™t give a **** about IAā€™s figures and can STILL see HT Batfleck looks subpar. Am I to understand any sort of criticism isnā€™t allowed here as well?

In the IA joker thread we had HT purists or as Iā€™d like to put it-knob shiners- say ā€œIā€™ll wait for the HT versionā€.

I nod And say ā€œgood luck with thatā€ and continue geeking over IAā€™s Joker.

If posts in this thread straight up said ā€œthis Batfleck is a batjoke and whoever is excited for this are blind fanboys and will miss out on GODLIKE IAā€™S sublime Batfleck!ā€ā€¦wellā€¦I suppose itā€™s a joy kill? But yeah, thatā€™s not whatā€™s happening here.

At the risk of offending by answering a question with a question, am I to understand that's what you think my post was implying?

Because you'd have to be a complete blind man not to see that coming as an retort to my comment. And take a wild guess as to what I might say to that.

Yup, you guessed it: Criticism is always welcome. But if you're attempting to twist the narrative of this into me being butt hurt cause of "da gwumpy meanies dat don't wike wut I wike" then I think we can both just agree to disagree and move on.

It's also a possible Q1 2025 release, they can still make improvements :)

I just want the best of what's available right now and even though it's a little while away, I am still pretty hyped for this. With the rising figure costs I find It's reasonably priced with the deluxe version as that diorama base looks like a ton of fun to pose with.

I care more about how it looks and accuracy second, I'm not gonna get a jpeg image and nitpick side by side comparison shots. If it looks good from my eyes and from the promos I'm happy enough. I'm sure the random stranger can come up to this and can tell who its meant to be no question.

Some of the reasons I'm not too hyped on the JND Joker other than the insane price tag is that, I'm the only one that's gonna be looking at my figures 99% of the time and truely appreciate it. Also probably looking at it from 2-3feet away most of the time too, so I don't need all that unnecessary detail that just add up costs, like having that skull under the tiny silicone head that you'll never see. šŸ™„

No that isnā€™t what I thought your post was implying. It was a rhetorical question. Your post was basically saying only IA purists are coming in to rain on peoples parade. Iā€™m saying no itā€™s not. Itā€™s a flawed figure.

And I donā€™t see anywhere in my post twisting any narrative and implying youā€™re butthurt. Iā€™m genuinely confused as to how you got ANY of that from my reply to you.

Like dudeā€¦chill out. Please re-read my 1st reply to you. If you still feel it had ANY kind of aggressive toneā€¦um..my bad?

No worries. It's quite possible I read into it incorrectly and if so, that's on me. So my bad, bud.

Yeah, it is a flawed figure. Especially for folks that are sticklers for accuracy. I can live it. I totally wouldn't mind displaying it as it is right now on my shelf.

And for the record, I'm totally getting the IA figure too. I'm just thankful to get the opportunity as I missed all the previous Batfleck releases. Something I will not let happen again!

Regardless of whatever issues this has it looks good in these images, it definitely needs work no denying that but some us are definitely excited for the potential it has and are glad to see a 2.0 even be done. That doesn't mean we aren't excited for InArt Bats but I do see what some here are saying it's getting a lot unnecessary heat because it's HT. Though at least now they are putting as much effort as possible knowing InArt is on the scene. I don't have an issue with the way it looks because before release it'll be improved, especially once InArt shows their version they have to make changes based on whatever needs to be to match the accuracy of InArt Batman.

Its cool man *fist bump*

I can see why people would get excited for it as well. Batfleck is popular after all.

As I mentioned before, it just has way too many inaccuracies for my liking. I am looking forward to the inevitable updates once IA reveals their version.

I hate HT. With a passion. I make no secret about it.

That being said, my opinion about them and their figures shouldnā€™t have ANY effect on ANYONE and their purchasing decisions. Iā€™m just one guy with a vocal opinion. Iā€™m not saying anyone would nor should give a damn about what I say, because Iā€™m not anyone important šŸ˜….

It's definitely not that serious bud, It's your opinion at the end of the day. We all should take it as goofin around if anything as this at least shows the day has finally come when InArt pushed HT into high gear to put better stuff out. Are you kidding your Brooklyn Freakin Wolf, the Bard of Video Games. Lol

I'm just not sure they'll tweak that oversized body. They can get the accuracy close to 90 or even close to 100% if they wanted to but it just seems they just want to settle for what's good enough. And collectors settling for good enough is what got them lazy especially with their DC releases. Guess what? They'll buy it anyway so let's do TDK armor multiple times without getting it completely right.

I don't want them to fold. I just want them to get it right. They have all the reference materials to study yet somehow, they don't. It isn't just about portrait likeness and more accessories. Proportions and detail matters as well. There's no guarantee HT will fix it so that's why I'm looking for more than good enough with their announcement.

Question: Do you think some reveal from InArt is coming soon for HT to rush this announcement?
Which in timing sense, this reveal is kinda diluting the attention to their release of Pattinson Batman....

Have the made the grey too dark again? Feels like it could be a shade lighter to contrast more with the black parts of the suit.

No because Hot Toys has no way of knowing INARTs reveal schedule unless if they planted a spy there. :lol Which I don't put past Howard on doing but realistically, no.

This has most likely been in the works once they got wind that INART was doing the BvS trinity back when they showed their line up. We also more or less got confirmation that they're doing a new Cavill Supes with an outsourced custom artist sculpt to rival INARTs.

I don't think so. It's just that with the IA BvS announcement and seeing what IA is capable of, I think HT decided to go announce this first so they don't go head to head against IA's Superman. Although, more people are playing the waiting game now since IA is expected to come out with their own BvS Batfleck eventually. That's the thing also, if HT wants to completely sway the collectors into buying this, they should have left no doubts to get this even with IA's eventual announcement. IA can't afford to announce a subpar release but HT is giving them more than enough leeway to get ahead of them with this effort.

They also might be waiting on InArt for any chance to make later changes, they did it with their Pattinson Batman so why not this. It's also almost 2 years away from release InArt can definitely announce and put up for PO their version next year and HT will take notes and make the necessary changes. If anything the body proportion and suit color possibly need changing. Once they do it will be maybe 90-95% accurate.
