Endgame was the end and they should just pull a "Willow" and purge everything that came after off of Disney Plus.

I'd be reluctant to jettison Spiderman NWH, just because I really like the idea of the Maguire & Garfield movies being essentially canonised with the MCU. Although I do think the film itself could have been better - pacing was a bit off and the actual introduction of Tobey and Andrew was too low key, think it would have been better if they came in during a battle scene with their music scores in full swing.
Everything else the MCU has produced since Endgame has been superfluous at best and embarrassing at worst and I'd happily consign it to the recycle bin.

Sorry I can’t remember what interview it was so I can’t link to it, but they seemed to have a pretty succinct “yup that’s right” answer to a question of whether Rhodey had been one since CW.

BUT. I just saw another interview where they said they don’t know and it’s a question for Kevin Feige. So who the hell knows. Either way it doesn’t really make me want to sit down and watch the show lol.

Kinda like the dumb Cap being worthy discussions. Was he actually worthy in AOU and purposefully stopped himself from lifting Mjolnir?

The Russo's claimed he was always worthy, yet they had NOTHING to do with the movie. And Whedon really wouldn't answer the question, and hinted maybe/maybe not. I'm sure he most likely didn't want to anger Feige and give his true intentions. So to me I'd say it was most likely NO. At that time he was not worthy. Maybe one day, but he wasn't ready yet. That whole scene was written in there for when Vision picked it up for them to decide/realize if he was honest and trustworthy or not.

The MCU has become as messed up as what Kennedy has done to Star Wars. Canon and following previous lore is meaningless, It exists only until they decide to change it. And then declare it was always so regardless of what it messes up story wise. Just depends on ones interpretation or some BS... Great way for consistent storytelling.

Seems like a weird thing to write, kidnap him during a hospital visit that he had off screen. Why did it have to specifically be a hospital visit then if we didn't see it? Seems like trying to make a connection to something that isn't important. But tying it to the time he was in hospital during Civil War and referencing back to that seems like a better payoff.

Ah, I had switched to 'in general', not sure what is or isn't on Disney+.

And I just realised that Spiderman Far from Home was also post-Endgame. Not an amazing film by any means but I guess it too could stay to complete Tom Holland's trilogy.

Every single one of these shows has been written weirdly though. Maybe he was getting his legs fixed and was taken, since Skrull Rhodey didn't need the exo-skeleton.

But who knows, and even at that; who cares anymore. Consistency and care has gone out the window with this universe.

I usually try not to be too harsh on movies and TV shows, but in this case Marvel should just wipe this series from canon. There were some good parts, but the overall story was a complete disservice to the MCU. Not only did it take an epic storyline that should have involved dozens of superheroes and turn it into a human centric, poorly realized "spy story," it robbed the Fantastic Four of one of their best villains. Not to mention they created a ridiculously OP character that I'm sure they don't know what to do with. This is as bad as Fox trying to push the Phoenix saga, I don't know why Feige greenlit this series after reading the script. I know they've been racing to create Disney+ content, but there are 100 stories they could have told much better and produced for much cheaper. Stories like Secret Invasion should be reserved for the big screen and told properly. A two part Secret Invasion movie could have been huge.

Mcu got too big. They just think they can get away with anything. It was evident with wandavision with that stupid Ralph boner thing where they all of a sudden thought they could jerk fans around or make bland material and they’d still make money. I remember they use to always use to tease big names and stories

But then when they blipped back the skrulls cover would be blown, unless they rounded them all up before people noticed, which is even harder to believe. I like that fact that the real Rhodes doesn't know that Stark is dead. Maybe we'll see all that unfold in Armour Wars.

I should have clarified - I meant replace Rhodey and the other leaders who survived the blip, not replace those who were blipped.

It was mentioned that the Skrull rebellion didn't start until after Endgame. Gravik was still working for Fury at least until after the battle.

Rhodey was bleeding red and legitimately heartbroken over Tony's death. If they retcon him being a Skrull then it just shows that they want everything to be connected but seem to forget that everything they're trying to connect actually exists.

Yeah, that's what I recall as well. I think it’s likely that this show runner doesn’t really know what he’s talking about.

Did not watch this and don’t plan on it. Watched some review and wow does it sound bad.

WHY, WHY, WHY are they so set on ruining everything that came before?

At this point does anyone care anymore. I was looking forward to F4 and X-men, I’m I mean X-persons. But not in this universe and not under the creative control it’s presently under. Sorry Kev but it appears you just got really lucky.

I meant that the central conflict of the show is that the Skrulls have no place to live because, according to Fury, humans wouldn't accept them on Earth... but New Asgard is made up of various aliens living alongside humans.

But New Asgard is in Norway and Norse mythology is a part of their culture. Plus Asgardians can't impersonate other humans.

Well, yeah, now. But the whole point of the plot is that Fury promised for decades that he'd find them a home but never did... yet apparently Thor had no problem creating a settlement for dozens of different aliens.

New Asgard isn't made up entirely of Asgardians. There's all kind of weird looking things living there.
