I ordered them from popcultcha since i wanted them for my bday so i bailed on sugo toys but my biggest concern is they won't fit in the display case, batman is way too tall and 89 batman barely fits. Might have to buy a lot of those basic crotch grabbers cause too many figures have tall bases. I really don't like how tall they are. And robin, yeah he was just kinda an expensive accessory. No emotion towards him whatsoever lol.

Yeah mine was suppose to be a Christmas present to myself but it must have gotten stuck on the ocean somewhere because it didn't have that new HT smell at all which surprised me, I thought this dude was going to reek of rubber goodness. Maybe it did back in December I don't know lol. Again it's a very cool figure just standing there by itself - need to find a special place for it I guess.

When you have been looking at size comparisons for months you kind of hope it is being exaggerated in photos but nope, Forever Kilmer is a beast. And considering the new 89 figure isn't going to be any taller well..

Another issue is I have places outside of cabinets to put him but he is a magnet for everything due to the tackiness.

My figures have been open since Monday and are definitely the stinkest figures from Hot Toys I have ever had and it is a different smell to any others as well. Very strong plastic smell and the figures are also tacky. That tackiness had already reduced a lot since opening so will see if it goes away completely.

They are a different feel to the Returns suit and feel more flexible which I like. Will be interesting to see if they hold up as well as the Returns suit which still looks and feels brand new.

Maybe buy him his own little display case. I've just got mine covered over with a clear plastic bag of the kind Hot Toys boxes come wrapped in - until one day I invest in proper display units myself. I've been saying that for....literally my entire membership on this forum. WW3 will probably happen before I follow through.

Robin is disappointing if I'm honest. I don't know if Batman has inaccuracies (and I'm happy not knowing) but even I was able to see that Robin's chest & shoulder region are different from the movie and it makes him feel less 'definitive' than Batman.

My 89 batman has a plastic rubbery smell that has gone onto all my other figures somehow. I'm absolutely positive that the batman forever figures will stink out the whole display case lol

Is your '89 Batman vaccinated? It may be shedding spike protein. ;)

You could put one of the neck sockets that drops down from the sculpt on it but you would have to cut out the original one. It would be best to use a body that works well so you dont have to risk damaging the sculpt.

I've noticed the wife can't stop looking at my Robin. I wonder what could be catching her eye. :ROFLMAO:
Careful it could take out an eye if you look too close

I got some leg extenders for the Toyz Trubo Two-Face figure, and he’s a much better height now. Slightly taller than Robin, and a decent height next to Batman.

Can't wait to receive mine. The more i see them the more i love them. Hot toys really did some great work with these two, they have such amazing shelf presence

Wow, that looks really, really good.

The only thing that throws it off are Two-Face’s legs, particularly his right Harvey side. It needs to be filled out more. Pad his legs up and the proportions would fit with Batman and Robin perfectly.

I wonder if Hot Toys sees this? All these Riddlers and Two-Faces. I hope they know they’re leaving money on the table with some of these villains.

Thanks!

Yes, his legs could definitely do with filling out. Before I mod him anymore, I’m going to wait and see how the Mars Toys version turns out.

I really do hope Hot Toys sees all these Riddler and Two-Face figures and decides to get in on the action.

I haven’t heard this mentioned here yet. Had mine open for like a month or whatever untouched in a dark cabinets

Val is now a sticky tacky mess of a figure - y’alls the same?

Both my Batman and Robin figures felt very tacky out of the box when opened two weeks ago. Been in a cabinet ever since with Robin being now fine and most of it gone from Batman too.

I'm in Australia and had a few warm days to end summer and a little humidity in that time but nothing extreme.

So far, Batman's legs are a tad tacky still but nothing compared to when I got the duo.

I remember Hot Toys' Davy Jones was also a bit of a tacky devil. Dust magnet because of it.

You'd think they'd know this as their own prototype must also have become tacky.
