So are Toys Works and Premium Toys the same people? Someone has posted photos of The Republican and it looks to have the same head sculpt as Premium Toys and that same cheap and glossy looking free body. As much as I love the look of the Premium Toys heads, I thought the non glossy SooSoo and Toy Works bodies looked a lot more appealing. The outfit in the photos looks like it's already coming apart at the seams and is likely the same one that comes with the Premium Toys version.

There’s definitely something fishy going on. If the headsculpts are the same quality Im still not mad about it.
Let’s say they are the same, the body and suit still look good despite the seams showing. And you get four bonus headsculpts and I think these figures were about the same cost.
The reason why Premier toys included 5 headsculpts and a body is because they knew they were late to the party so they had to make their product more appealing than the other brands. Toysworks may have tried to copy Premier toys’s promo images after seeing the positive response to it.
Another theory I have is that the Toysworks figure didnt get much pre orders cause of the poorly done headsculpt. And instead of cancelling the figure they made the 5 headsculpt set under a different name and are using the leftover Toysworks bodies as the pre order bonus. Then they used their newly designed headsculpt for their original Toysworks release. This explanation is pretty plausible to me.
I just wonder what happened to the Toysworks suit from the promo images. The fabric looked a lot better, similar to SooSoo’s.
But I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I still think despite the rubber material they nailed the look and The bodyproportions. The headsculpt looks great as well. Better than any of the other offers. So again, wouldnt even be mad if it turns out the Premier Toys figure is just a deluxe version of the Toysworks one. Still looks like something I’d be happy to own.
Body was basically free anyway.
Oh wow, that is definitely a very plausible explanation! I'm sure nobody with the Toys Works version will be upset about the updated head, but I'd imagine some will be disappointed with the outfit having a different texture and finish.

Definitely a pretty plausible explanation. It would explain the mystery of why they were selling the 5 heads and then just threw in a full figure.
The likeness is definitely still there, so if we end up getting that and 4 extra heads for ~$200 I’ll be very happy.

From my understanding it hasn’t actually been released yet, but it should be out in the next couple of days.

yes in the mail I received from Kit after I paid it says they will be expected to be delivered to his warehouse around the 8th and he will start shipping them out as soon as he gets them.

They posted a few weeks ago on their facebook page that there’s been a covid outbreak and all projects have been severely delayed. I posted a screenshot last week.
Don’t expect anything soon. It’s a pretty insane wait. How long has it been 1,5 years or longer? Almost Hot toys waittimes.

Looks like the exact same figure but this one doesnt have those glue marks atleast that the other guy had.
Seems like the people that ordered the Republican got completely screwed over. Paid about the same for a figure with only a quarter of the features this one has.
Im surprised it comes with a base, considering the body is a gift. The first thing these companies seem to cheap out on is not including a base.
Overall I think the figure looks great. I just wonder how long that rubber will hold up. A few of the sculpts feel a bit unnecessary, the neutral one stands out to me as clearly the best of the bunch.

The base he comes with is very similar to some of the Infamous bases that came with the black order figures. Those were also all released under different names.
Ebony Maw has a rubber screenprinted suit. I wouldn’t be surprised Homelanders suit is made from the same type of material if these companies are the same ppl.
