There's really only one type of Cape Cod Cloth in a tin or a pouch doesnt matter. They're a brand not a type of cloth. They are made for polishing metals but can work on glass and mineral crystals too so as you could imagine their point is to not leave any visible hazing or fine lines. They use an incredibly fine abrasive no chemicals or thinners.
Just to double check, this is the stuff we're after?
It seems you get 2 in a pack, would that be enough to clean the entire figure?

Could I ask where you get the chrome armour kits? I assumed they'd cost more than the figure.

theres a few people doing them but im going with art15custom on instagram. i believe his quote is around $200. I dont plan to use really any of the season 2 pieces so its 100% a better deal for me

Some aluminum air brush paint or even aluminum rattle can would pretty much give you the full chrome look, if that's what you're shooting for. A bit of risk taking on a DIY of that nature but super cheap option...

my biggest gripe isn't the weathering its actually the helmet, the proportions are all off, the horizontal visor isn't narrow enough and the dome is too bulbous. they're my main 2 but generally the whole helmet is crap

I don't love the helmets either, the actual helmet is more angular and looks more "badass", the sculpt HT uses looks less threatening.

exactly its no where as threatening looking as his actual helmet, 1/4 ver is much better dont know why they didn't shrink it down for the chrome ver

guess I was expecting to much from this release , that weathering is a complete disaster (for me) definitely gonna cancel my preorder 😒 probably going to try the 1/4 scale 😒

It is a disaster however a handful of us have done some research on removing it and a few have been successful with really good results. You should check it out. With the simple mod, it’s exactly what we wanted. At least what I wanted.

I'm leaning toward cancelling this set myself because I'm also not a fan of the weathering. Makes it look so cheap. But I'm also not willing to deface a nearly $400 figure to make it look right.
I don't care much about all the accessories as the damaged boba armor parts I wanted will come with Vanth.
But I really don't want to miss out on the sculpt though. They'll use that again, right? Hoping for a clean chrome mando with the sculpt and maybe not all the useless accessories.
