Just saw a video on Hot Toys FB page where they are promoting the 40th Anniversary of ROTJ for next year. Great news to start off the new year! Excited to see when & what they reveal.

Also to add to that,20th anniversary of The Clone Wars.
That IS the Genndy micro series for sure...so think of MORE Clones,but also the potential for Asajj Ventress,Durge and x fingers,Clone Wars Kenobi.
RotJ 40th has so much potential for a new Han,Leia,Sebastian Shaw reveal Vader and Lando Skiff,but also reissues of Luke,Emperor and a Stormtrooper at the least.
Hope they open the gate this year with more Star Wars reveals.

The 20th anniversary clone wars announcement is an odd one. Are we really going to see them make a bunch of "Legends" figures?
I mean are we getting this?
Instead of the previous prototype? Not that I'm complaining necessarily. Especially, if they make the arc troopers in their original glory.

Yeah 20th 2003 Clone Wars is very interesting, not sure what to expect from that, I guess mainly clones? Easy stuff for them to make I guess.
There are some cool looks for the lead characters like Obi Wan and Padme but I’d presume they’ll be looking at it entirely for the clone variants.

Hasbro did a 20th 03 Clone Wars thing as well.
I mean if it gives us a chance to get some of those PT Jedi, Durge or ARC Troopers? Sign me up.
I wouldn't mind a bit of a break though, focus on Marvel and DC to start the year, the last few months, along with the holidays, now with Mace and the SBD this week, have been killer on my wallet.

Confused about that CW announcement. However, some of those ARC guys were great and Asajj’s intro look was great!

Agree. Wouldn’t mind a pause on at least Star Wars produced under George until May the 4th. These last couple of weeks have definitely given us some stuff we’ve asked for for years.

Also important to note that the 20th Anniversary logo was also used on TCW clones, as recently as the 3 ARC Troopers in the Battle of Kamino from TCW Season 3. These figures are exclusive to Wal-Mart, added an image at the bottom. Lego is also using the logo on their 501st Battle Pack inspired by the 501st clones in Battlefront 2 from 2017.
Hasbro also put out 7 figures from 03 Clone Wars last year, 4 in the Vintage Collection and 3 in the Black Series.
So could be a mixture of both series, made up clones (similar to Appo's look HT gave him) which wouldn't make sense but it is what it is.
Could also just be an excuse to slap a cool logo on any Clone Wars inspired merchandise for next year. Companies know these products sell good.

Especially anniversaries. And Hot Toys loves their anniversaries. Hasbro has teased a number of other figures along with the TVC ARCs that have gone up for preorder. Hot Toys will definitely take advantage of the anniversary by making more Clones.

That is honestly what I see it as lol. An excuse to throw some cool logo on some figures and make some new clones, clones that sell and that are easy to make for HT.
If we get a TCW named clone in 2023 (Fives, Wolffe, ARC Echo, etc), could totally see that logo thrown on their packaging.
I wasn’t counting on any TCW figures, but I’ll absolutely get some OG proper Clones (and not the weaklings from FiloniWars) and a Ventress, period. She is a must have for me. Imagine how great a “Prequel Villains” display would be, with Dooku, Maul, Ventress and Grievous. Anyway, if they make some TCW Troopers, I need the long tunic. If it’s missing it’d be a deal breaker to me, no joke.
ROTJ wise I’m gunning for an Emperor first and foremost. I’m torn on Vader. Ideally, I want one in my Empire display and one in my “Anakin’s Journey” mini-display. The thing is that the former’s a lock, but even though the latter idea sounds cool to me, it’s an extra 1K and three spots “taken”. I was gonna wait for the ROTS version with the burned Hayden head, but now I don’t know. If rumours are to be believed we’ll get another Vader in Ahsoka and who knows where else. I’ll have to think about it. Dunno about a Boba. Lately I’ve been feeling completionism creeping in again and think that a classic Boba would look cool in an Empire display, but then he’d clutter it as well. We’ll see, it’s a packed year for me MCU wise too, and we have InArt’s licenses as well.
