Do you mean the pics I posted? That's the initial prototype they showed but changed it when they solicited the figure. It's not a pic of what was released.
Yeah i knew they weren't in the final figure but those prototype thighs are so thick. Glad they changed it. I think the final production looks better than the prototype.

Agreed, prototype proportions were out of whack, glad the cleaned it up. This one is a once in a lifetime figure for fans, so glad it got made.

I love this figure but its height REALLY bothers me. It’s just not in scale with other recent releases. The heigh seems to be coming from the boots too, swapping ankle pegs won’t fix it and the way the suit is constructed you would have to slice it at the waist to swap the body.

It’s a great piece on a shelf by itself but its height makes it not work with other figures.

That's the first height comparison I've seen lol. Maybe it's the pic but seem to be pretty close in height to the DX19 (longer ears and all) and actor height wise that makes sense, they are both 6 feet tall, no?

The DX19 is on a stand and still shorter. This thing is like 3/4 of an inch too tall lol.

Woah, Sonar Bats is a big boy.

The virgin Bale vs the Chad Kilmer.

Still can't believe HT didn't change the stand type at least. These huge dx ones are so wasteful for shelf space. All that excess siding with the non functioning lights. They at the least have could have used a better stand to recycle for this figure. Like the recent avengers hex style stand. It's a shame as i really like the glossy logo and nameplate they did. Looks high quality.

bro those hex bases are awful

I honestly don't even think this and Robin work on display that well with the other Batman figures to begin with. Bale and Keaton's Batman design is done in such a different style and tone that having this and Robin on display with them will look off no matter what height he is.

Definitely needs to be displayed on their own together.

I wanted to make a separate display of just my favorite live action suits like something you would see at WB. It has nothing to do with them existing in a shared universe other than our own.

I know. I just meant the overall style of the suit and finish just looks off when put next to the other Batman Hot Toys figures because of how different it is to the rest of them. Doesn't help that the TDK Suit has such a tactical style to it when put next to this one.

I'm sure that type of display will still work depending on how you have it setup though, regardless of the height. Maybe a bit separated and not being directly next to the TDK suit will help for sure.

Damn, you can even tell from this comparison that standing in the presence of a fully suited, 6’4” + big boots Batfleck would have been quite affecting… Afleckting…

Looks like HT scaled Kilmer to be 6’3”-4”
That’s appropriate for Batman, the character even if it’s not accurate to the actor.

I display all my Batmen together so height does indeed matters to me. In the canon, Batman is 6"2 so regardless if it's Keaton, Affleck or Kilmer they should be around the same height. Here's my modded DX09 and Armory Bats that were modded to scale up to the BvS, hopefully Kilmer fits in line:

I've always had that idea in my mind too. The character is 6' 2" unless made explicit in the story IMO.

Just don't post it in the FB groups lol. I remember posting my Keaton mod next to the Affleck figure and was told to go kill myself since Keaton is 5 foot nothing compared to Affleck. Pretty sure neither Keaton nor Affleck can do ninja flips and beat up 15 thugs in real life so their real height is irrelevant, Batman is 6"2 in their movie bios.

In the 60's, 70's and 80's it seemed that almost all superheroes were 6'2'', 225 lbs and 35-ish. That's the ideal male age and height. Kind of works for movies too with the likes of Bond and Indy, in their ideal times.

Yes, Spider-Man deliberately broke that mold... but then he's a boy.

I have had people tell me 100% seriously that Affleck's muscles looked just like his suit during filming and there was 0 padding :ROFLMAO:

Then Frank Miller shows up and he’s like ‘Well, my Batman is gonna be in his 50s, 6’8” and 300lbs of haggard old rippling muscles and arthritis. His wrists will be as thick as most men’s biceps. No one in Gotham will ever make the connection that this gargantuan man-mountain is the terrifying masked vigilante who polices their streets…’
