This episode freakin' BROUGHT IT. I have said so many times in discussion over the last decade "Star Wars doesn't have to be Shakespeare" .... but this episode approaches The Bard's depth and pathos. Not his poetry of course (LOL) but the feeling was there. It was bigger than Star Wars. Serkis' performance was amazing and watching that end scene with Luthen ... it was a little on the nose but not too overdone.

Spoiler Spoiler:

And how much do I love Kafrene? Ever since Rogue One -- and those aliens actually *felt* alien.

I would be ecstatic if we don't see Kino until late in season 2. Popping up to help Cassian finish off the season.

Fans love him.

Another incredible episode, my God that speech from Stellan 😳👏👏👏👏👏👏
Spoiler Spoiler:

I also loved how:

That was a great episode, really happy to be watching this. I travel a lot for work and have been listening to the Darth Bane trilogy on audiobook, so the two combined are giving me my fix of “mature” Star Wars.

This freaking episode! :thud:

Holy crap just give Skarsgard an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony just give him everything I don’t care WOW!

Spoiler Spoiler:

Serkis and Luna also went with both barrels blazing!

A freaking body bag in SW!

A mafioso!

This episode was a freaking masterpiece.

An absolute freaking masterpiece.

Spoiler Spoiler:

Is this freaking Lawrence of Arabia!

Dude we went from Ewoks to Jar Jar to Like a Bantha to Andor I’m totally good with their battle damage lol

Now this is Star WARS!

It was pretty grim how, and perhaps I’m mistaken and missed something, but
Spoiler Spoiler:

The only thing that comes to mind that I didn’t like/agree with was
Spoiler Spoiler:
BUT with that said, it ended up being of (seemingly) no consequence.

I thought of that too.

Not killing them was worse for them Kino and Andor knows what the punishment for failure will be with the Empire.

Haven't seen such a twist (in the surpassingly good way) from modern films besides endless onslaughts of materialistic-flashy life-styles, meaningless sex and forced injections of diversity. I'm extremely interested in seeing how this "Infernal Affairs version of StarWars" going to play out from now.

I know I'm going to be crucified for this, but the jail break bits didn't do it for me. Just felt a bit nothing for me. His rally speech felt... blah, and whatever they kept chanting didn't fire me up. It was all just a bit flat.

The Motha and Luthen scenes were phenomenal though. Both gave insanely good performances (coupled with masterful writing). The undercurrent with Motha was jaw dropping.

I double checked to make sure you weren’t Otomofan after that first paragraph lol…

Maybe that's what didn't work for me either but maybe with this show and the writing that's the point. Men who are exhausted, stressed and essentially dead men walking aren't gonna be Steve Rogers being able to roll out inspirational speeches. There's no time and too many unknowns.

I REALLY hope Andor goes back to save Serkis.
The ONLY other thing that may remotely happen is they turn Serkis into ......

Snoke!!!!!
bahahahahahahahaha
j/k.

Will take scenes of Mothma and Luthen ANY day!!!
Looking forward to the last 2 eps

Just watched this. Was planning to last night but after watching Wakanda Forever, I felt that the weight of that movie plus Andor would have been a bit much lol.

Another solid episode. I like how this one is all about their sacrifices. Everyone here is sacrificing something, and now I wonder if Mon Mothma will go that far as well.

Great episode, with some electrifying performances from the cast. I can understand why it's not connecting with a lot of the audience though. Which is a shame, hopefully this season will tell a complete story, as I can't see Disney making a second season.

His speech wasn’t really out of the ordinary though essentially he atoned for his guilt as his last will and testament knowing he couldn’t swim and was going to die pretty harrowing stuff actually if you ask me.

I'm waiting until this weekend to binge it. After seeing so many people applaud it, I'm super excited. I'm actually pretty happy that there's no jedi in it this season. I think that promotes good writing rather than using flashy lightsaber combat as a crutch...wouldn't complain if a scene showed up next season, though, lol.

As expected, Danoby2 won't even watch it cause he calls it a snore-fest, boring, nothing to be excited about, Andor is a jerk in RO, there's no hook etc. So, basically it sucks...but he got all manipulative and defensive about the word "sucks" when I posted it in chat, lol. He claims that he didn't say that, he just said all that other stuff.

He just hops between topics creating a stir of drama no matter what it is...contrarian for the sake of it. I mean, really? The word "sucks" doesn't capture all those characteristics? Meanwhile, the general Merriam-webster usage of "sucks" includes inadequate, undesirable, bad etc. What a clown man-baby.

Anyways, are you guys wanting any figures from this show?

The fear and nerves of people about to face being shot at was well-acted once again, much like Vel's nerves before giving the order to act. None of the consequence-free, cavalier attitude that's par-for-the-course in Popcorn Star Wars.

Shut yo mowf.

Seriously, if they put glow sticks in this I'm gonna RIOT.

Or write a strongly worded forum post. :lecture
