Yep I remember wanting a Black Widow since I think it was Civil War. None of the ones since then cut it for me.

This however was as good as it could get imo. Especially for the suit, paint apps, hair colour etc. The sculpt isn't perfect, but isn't totally bad.

I'm someone who typically picks only one definitive version of a character for my display. So for me this one fits the bill.

Her space is waiting front right. But now the new Tchalla also needs to fit as well. I think they'll fit.

Then I'll be more or less done I think. Other than Drax and Mantis for Guardians 3. I hope !!!

Incredible display, Hoody! Love the way you've got the figures organized.

photo taken from secret base hk, i think the head sculpt is horrible.
Lol I actually think it looks better there than many of the blogger photos.

Where’s Rocket?

Where’s Rocket?
He had a fall and the big gun broke his tiny wrist. So I'm contemplating how to fix it. I have some mini drill bits, so I'm hoping they can somehow help.

Luckily that big gun can be rested on his shoulder and doesn't actually need to be in his hand, so that's a plus. So I can fudge it if needed.

Snapped off wrists are difficult to remove from the arm/hand at the best of times, but Rocket's are extra tiny.

Any experience welcome !

Thanks. Photos (as normal) don't do displays any justice compared to when you stand in front of them. This is in my home office. So get to enjoy them every day. Star Wars is similar but a bit larger on the opposite side.

Oh man! That sucks. I ended up replacing the entire body for the Mando Tusken Raider because that happened to one of the pegs — I couldn’t figure out how to get that damn wrist joint out of the arm either.

You’ll need those small drill bits and some eyeglass screws. Drill the peg that is in the wrist and then screw in the tiny screw. Then grab that with pliers and remove. If that doesn’t work, get a dressmakers pin held right in pliers and run it under a naked flame till it’s orange. Push it into the peg and allow it to cool fully. When cool, grip the pin, now fully melted and hardened into the peg, and it will slide out.

So guys, is this the best version of Black Widow so far???

I’m not asking to start any ish, I genuinely want to hear you guys’ input.

I currently have the Civil War version which I like a lot. But even though I think the CW version has a better headsculpt, I like the hairstyle and the body on this solo-movie version better. I’m not sure which costume I think is better.

I think overall so far the EG figure is the best but yes there is no one great figure yet. The proportions are not quite right on that one. I like the CW sculpt but hate the hair. I also really like the Avengers figure, the costume is great, proportions spot on, even if the sculpt is not up to modern standards and think the WS figure is a bit underrated.

Thanks mate. That was roughly my plan with the drill + screw method, however I was unsure if there is enough plastic in there to grip onto. But the dressmakers pin is another one I hadn't heard of. Can try that as well perhaps.

Worst case if it is all too small to pull out in one piece, the drill should break up the remains of the peg to pull out the pieces at least.

No worries. If you're having trouble, give me a shout. It must be sortable.

Shoot, lately on any customs or fixes I've been doing the magnet thing! Thank you, InArt.

Rocket's wrists are probably way small like you said but some magnets can be copied into smaller bits.
