If I didn't have to buy a house, I'd have more. MYC's work is amazing, & he's a great guy!!! :duff

All fun aside.. I really appreciate that kind feedback. This is great motivation and makes me more then happy! :) :cheers

I?ve never been a statue guy but getting very interested after hearing the RO6 crew rant and rave so much. Any hints as to what is in the pipeline? Shoretrooper perhaps?

Thank you so much !! we have nice things coming up :) For Shore! :p

I've picked up a few MYC pieces this last week, starting with taking over a Plo Koon pre-order from another guy. Plo has always been one of the best looking characters to come out of the prequels for me. I wish he got some actual live action screen time in the movies instead of just a couple of random shots, but I did like him in The Clone Wars, which I finally decided to give a shot and have since really fallen in love with.

Also picked up a Corporal Stormtrooper and Emperor Palpatine. I've been searching for years for best the representations of each character and I finally have found them with MYC. These literally won't be topped so I'm lucky to have found them when I did. Better late than never!

I also pre-ordered the 1/24 scale AT-ST this weekend. So overall, this was a killer week for MYC Star Wars for me!

I have several MYC pieces and each one is better than the previous one. He really does amazing work and is a joy to work with. There's a 1/4 Boba on Throne coming that I'm literally sitting on my porch right now waiting for...and it's not shipping for a few months :)

ps. Yes, I know what "literally" means... ;)

BTW if anyone is looking to get in on the Mando Ahsoka I am trying to find someone to take over my PO. Looks like it will be a stunning piece, should be releasing in the next month or two.

I'm not sure which thread to keep going here, but I'll choose this one since myc himself started it.

New teaser alert:

Full reveal on Tuesday. This one looks epic so far. I've always craved for a 1/4 Scout and Speeder bike.

I sold my SS 1/4 speeder a couple years ago. I've been holding off on the Hot Toys version until I see this. Something tells me this will be the one I'm going to snag.

My excitement lessened a little when I noticed the scout isn't riding the speeder. The white paint effect on the boots seems a bit unusual, or is it accurate and I'm off?

I don't know. Looks like a used, dirty boot after walking through dirt/shrubs.
Looks more like a textured brownish boot that's been drybrushed white to me. I would have expect a smooth white boot with weathering\mud effect on it to be accurate, looking at a few stills from the movie. I think the 1/6 Hot Toys, or any of the sideshows looks more accurate in terms of boot finish at least, but I will wait for the full reveal. Maybe someone who knows better can chime in.

The boots do look a little too textured, but the weathering is something that could easily be made to your liking. Perhaps we can get MYC to tone down that texture a bit as well.

Overall this piece looks great. However, I can’t get past several inaccuracies in the scout. Initially the hip pockets were white, they have stated that those will be corrected to black. But there shouldn’t be pockets at all. The other part is the cummerbund and how “loud” the seam lines are and not even close to what the ROTJ scout looks like.

It is custom statue, and that should be fine for what it is: "artistic interpretation" like Sideshow does. I gave up explaining accuracy to some, no matter if licensed company or not. Look at Gentle Giant, their first 2004 Stormtrooper (Sandtrooper) mini-bust has the most accurate scaled helmet out there. Then in 2009 they made a 1/6 Stormtrooper statue that looks awful in comparison, helmet is weird looking, armor is close to the body etc. And just a month ago they released their newest 1/6 Stormtrooper statue, that is one of the best renditions of this character in any scale, including the helmet, armor and pose. So they can, if they want to. The thing is to care and to want. Something most of these companies don't.

I can live with the slight inaccuracies and interpretation here. It's not hard to imagine that in the ROTJ universe there was a Scout Trooper with pockets on his pants. The cummerbund is not an issue with me. Overall, an excellent piece IMO.
