Depending how this show pans out I may end up retaining the Owen scenes and cropping everything else out of my head-canon. Well, I'd keep the scenes of Leia and the Organa's before the kidnapping. And that Jawa. K, I'm basically just reiterating my initial reaction post at this point.

One thing that's kind of nice for anyone who does accept this show as canon is that it syncs well with Obi-Wan's initial acceptance and understanding of Luke's decision to not help Leia get the plans to Alderaan. He thought it was important for Luke to go but Luke said that he couldn't because he had other duties on Tatooine and prior commitments to Owen which is the exact same reason that Obi-Wan initially refused to leave Tatooine to help the Organas as well.

I don't think that would work as a reason because of what ZE_501has already said: it wasn't the merciful thing to do. There is also a big difference between this situation and Dooku.

Yes both was at the end of a duel, but Dooku only lost his hands but was otherwise uninjured. The correct move for Anakin here was to arrest him so he can stand trial (exactly as what Anakin said Windu should do to Palpatine).

For Anakin vs Obi Wan, Anakin lost his limbs and was being burned by lava. Leaving him alive would have been torture. If Obi Wan meant to leave him alive, then he should have captured him and brought him to stand trial (like what Anakin should have done with Dooku) or killed him outright (like he did with Grievous and Maul).

So it's either Obi Wan was a sadist, or he thought Anakin was good as dead. He just left Anakin there, writhing, burning and screaming:

I don't think he could bring him to trial though because Sidious had already become the emperor (yes, it was possible at that point that Yoda took him down), so he couldn't really capture him. Maul and Grievous weren't defensless, so those are difference scenarios. Someone else mentioned that Mace was going to kill Palps as a similar scenario, but Palps had just been shooting lightening out of his hands, and thus wasn't defenseless either.

Ok so I actually watched the first 2 episodes.
Not BoBF horrible or anything but didn't love it. Although there's potential to lead into something pretty good, however, so far, I found it rather boring.
Not much more I can add to what others have posted.
Agree on the hilarious Leia chase. A worthy rival to the vespa chase.
The weird sand whale; do they seriously just leave that thing to rot in the double suns? Weird. Not a major criticism obviously. Just an odd detail.
Rupert Friend (?) did a decent job but I'd have still preferred Jason Isaacs.
It's great having Ewan back as Obi-Wan. The best part of the show.
Reva, however, is the worst part of the show. Her character is awful. Not great acting either. She's seriously dragging the show down.
Young Leia is a bit obnoxious but I don't mind her. As far as child actors go, she did a decent job. Having said that, I hope her part of the show is about done.
The opening order 66 scene was good. Clones looked great (practical suits?)
Owen was good.
Where are the aliens? Sure there's a few, but Star Wars is looking very human centric these days.
We'll see what the rest of the series gives us and how much of an impact Vader will have.
I suppose it could end on such a high note that the series as a whole is elevated. Or it could end up a disaster.
The show wasn't as offensively bad as BoBF or the ST, just a mixed bag that overall was a bit dull. So I'll watch the next episode at least.

I don’t get the hate for reva. I don’t . I could see if she was overshadowing obiwan but she isn’t. I could see if she was a a boring conflicted character who can do no wrong but she isn’t . Yea she’s unhinged but that’s her character. I honestly don’t see the issue with her. Rey was literally worse than her. I don’t think anybody can top rey as the most boring / plain crap Star Wars character.

Saw some of the comments and they are unesscessary. She isn’t “omg” terrible but that’s just me. Really don’t get the hatred on this one.

We should focus our time and energy into what really matter and get hot toys to make that dino bounty hunter toy plus a 3 hr movie. I need to know his lore!

I have no issues with anything she's done so far. My only issue is the first moment I saw her I predicted she would be just as important to the story as Obi-Wan and that she's going to ultimately get a redemption arc in the end. LucasFilm under Kennedy simply can't paint a woman in a bad light, especially a woman of color. They are predictable and boring when it comes to women's stories. Maybe I'll be wrong, but I highly doubt it.
