I wouldn’t pay an eBay premium for this figure myself. My prediction is that another wave of these will be announced within the next year. Quickly sell out. And then 6 months later either Queen/InArt or JND will announce a 1:6 Indy, unless HTs somehow has a worldwide stranglehold on the license. In which case, Hot Toys might also announce its own InArt style limited edition “artisan” or “premium” 1:6 RotlA, ToD , LC, KotCS figures. Indy 5 comes out next year, so companies will probably be hopping on to capitalize on the renewed interest and popularity. Hot Toys might hold a grudge against Ford, but not against money. Semi-related, I also think the franchise will be rebooted around 2027.

That’s a lot of speculation :D but I agree that the license will be explored again by Hot Toys.

By the looks of it, this fig needs a bit of futzing, the body looks a heap of :poop: so that will be changed. Would be interesting to see the head on the DX05 body.
Im wondering how easy it is to get the hat of the head? I might use the smiling sculpt for map room Indy, but I would need to remove the hat first of course.

Interesting. Oh, and I made one minor correction.

;) :p

So are you saying it's not worth the $ spent?

Say it isn't so.

;)

One thing I'm noticing across virtually all 1:6 discussion forums/groups about this figure . . .

Many new and old members blatantly and deliberating violation forum/group rules with posts soliciting to buy/sell this figure.

Oh, well.

Desperation yields stupidity or is it the other way around?

It's on par with the same as the Gametoys FF figures.

Finally reviews

Yeesh..as I thought , needs a HT TT body makeover

Wow, three of the dullest and/or stupidest reviews I've seen in a while. :lol

My fave is the guy who puts the belt/holster on like a cop's shoulder holster and can't get the leather jacket to go on, so briefly shows it then does an Indy fig review with no jacket. And then can't think of a pose for the smiling head so does a crouching aimed gun pose.:rotfl

Mentioned it a few times in this post, but I'm looking to make a TOD Indy using this figure as a stepping off point. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good body I could use? The consensus I'm getting is that this one is crap.

In all fairness Jimmy did ask him how he hurt his leg and a visual aid was readily available. :lol
Haha for sure! Though, I don’t think even Jimmy thought he was going to take it that far. Jimmy practically lunged for the figure when he noticed Ford was going crazy with it lol

Yup he got paid...lol. Remember that Harrison (if I PAY to see the next Indy movie)...nah...I am going to pirate-bay that sucker...so you don't get a dime from me...lol

Right, wrong, and/or indifferent, I believe many of the reviews thus far is a mix of enthusiasm, excitement, joy, and just plain showing off that the reviewer managed to score a highly sought after figure and showcasing it.

That's fine. Let them be happy and joyous about a figure some believe is a mediocrity overall.

What's next? Is there going to be an oversight board created by upper echelon collectors to deem what is worthwhile posting/sharing when it comes to video reviews?

Just got my figure and have to say at the price point I'm happy with it. I did have to do a lot of futzing to get him the way I wanted him and also added the weathering but I'm impressed overall. The jacket is bulky and the trousers could do with being baggier but pulling them down a little to get them bunching at the ankles helps. Added magnets to the bag as those plastic fasteners tend to break and also to the whip holder as that doesn't open at all. So generally you have to put a bit of work in but I'm pleased with it!
