Overall, can't wait for this figure And yes, I have DX07 plus more Lukes than I care to list. Really excited this went to PO finally. Some issues though:

- Can't believe no one is talking about the boots - they look ATROCIOUS, even vs DX07. Too low, too fat, straps look like rings.

- Cardboard topper on the Dagobah base - in a $350 set? Sculpted Dago front part doesn't look great either.

- Despite a nice new sculpt, imo the DX07 BD head remains the best Luke likeness of all time

- The outfit... why no weathering? It has the proto costume "pajamas" look and is too pale. Early DX07 pics had same issue, but that was a standalone fig over a decade ago.

- Muppet Show/stunt blaster a VERY cool inclusion, but its only used in a couple of shots on Dagobah in the movie, so is incorrect for all other displays

- Sideshow light-up stand better captures the carbon freeze chamber plate vs the (slightly smaller) new HT version.

- Vader helmet's a straight re-release of DX07 accessory, even paint apps look identical. But those who say it is undersized, it is slightly but HT Vader helmets are all 10-15% oversized.

dumb question but aren't the boots the same Luke wore with the snow speeder outfit? why do they look so different? Seems like a no brainer to just kit bash the belt, boots, head and hair, gun...for this release.

TaliBane’s assessment of them, and the figure as a whole, is pretty spot on imo. The boots are weird looking to me and look nothing like how they actually did. The DX07’s boots look more accurate to my eye and are more in-line to what the boots look like on the Hoth Leia figure. I also think the suit is way too light of a beige with no scuffs at all, even for the “clean” version.

If I didn’t have the DX07 I’d probably be more interested in this. As is though it’s just a double (technically triple) dip. I’d like it, but other figures are taking priority. Plus the Snowspeeder look is just awesome and I feel will stand out.

I don’t have a bunch of rewards, but like $55 or so. I’ll let them accumulate a bit more.

It's a weird portrait for sure -- at some angles in some lighting it looks dead on, then it just sort of disappears for me in other photos. Still better than DX07 ... well maybe not the BD, that one was awesome even though the paint is outdated now.

Maybe they are fooling us with multiple head sculpts? Not wait it’s HT we are talking about.

Wow on the price!! I’ll get it, but hot toys does this to themselves. They rerelease a figure many people have and cheap out with certain things (while raising the price). Collectors will rightfully complain and many won’t order because this doesn’t have enough value to warrant a second bespin luke. Then they will say people aren’t interested in ot releases. We are, we just don’t want to lube up before we buy them. Oh, and we want han. I’m definitely getting it and I will give the dagobah base to my ss yoda.

A lot of things are like that. A friend of mine bought a house for 300k several years back. We've just bought a house for 300k as well and it's half the size. He's is probably close to 500k now.

started collecting Hot Toys after the DX 07 was released so I’m preordering this new semi re-issue of Bespin Luke.

You’re lucky to be living in such an affordable area. $300k is not even enough for a down payment in Silicon Valley where it’s $2 Million for an ordinary home (i.e. not mansions). People with decent six-figure incomes are priced out.

but with inflation and wages not catching up to cost of living, everything is more expensive these days, including Hot Toys.

movie tickets were $5 when I was growing up - now it’s close to $20 in this area. Nothing we can do about it.

Actually judging by those pics the height of the new boots does look pretty accurate, as they only seem to come about halfway up his leg. I never realized the Hoth and Bespin boots were so different.

thankfully mine are still intact after all these years. heck my BD version still has the plastic on the boots whoops i forgot to take them off after all these years

One other thing that's been bugging me is how thick and padded he looks under the outfit. Seems pretty clear that they're using the same full body fatsuit that the first Jedi Luke had, and I imagine once you remove that the outfit will hang a lot looser like the DX07 one does.

So the original DX07 was two whole figures, multiple display stand options,enough accessories for both figures and was $299.99 the deluxe version of the new figure is $345 for one figure. Glad I have the better DX07 since they released it. Let me guess,battle damaged version coming next?LOL what a joke.

Since I only collect OT figures, I am excited that Hot Toys is doing another OT figure. I also love the Bespin Luke look but I am disappointed in the effort of the release and the price.

I understand how inflation is affecting everything and how the supply issues have affected everything, but this figure has a reissued head sculpt, reissued saber w/ effects, reissued gun, reissued Vader head, 12-16 months from shipping and cost about $50 more than it should. What are we buying that is new? Hair and a base?

Sadly, after all that, I must buy this or regret it forever.

Huh, so the deluxe version is CA$447.09 - minus shipping and import charges. So around CA$540 all said an done.
Since Mando's cooler, (and I already have him on PO), I'm gonna have to pass this one up - for my wallets sake. lol
Might be more tempting if the sculpt looked a bit more like Mark than than the CG version of him?
A shame too, since I sold my RotJ Luke soon as I saw HT was making a Bespin version.
