I was never really that wild about the DX07 head sculpt. I think this one looks better.

As soon as I saw the pics I looked and saw it's the Mando Luke sculpt with new hair.

I feel nothing for this release but happy for others that are hyped.

Having the DX07, this release isn’t as must have as Snowspeeder Luke or Mando Luke. I have the SS Rogue Commander Snowspeeder Luke but I want the HT version for Dagobah Landing look. Like others said this Luke needs to look dirtier not like he just came back from the laundry mat.

I prefer the cut of the trousers and boots from the DX07, but at the frequency of OT releases lately I'll take anything I can get. Smart move by HT. Starve people, then they'll be begging for any sort of release.

I'll say in that comparison, I like the open mouthed sculpt with the matted hair better than the new one. But the new one works well with the wispy hair.

Cool. No interest since Mando Luke is a perfect (EU) Master Luke for me (although I do prefer his hair here; I'm not a fan of the ultra thin straight, cowlick-esque look he had in Mando), I collect only Jedi/Sith so no need to do movie-specific displays, and I'm not a big enough fan of his to get all his looks (granted, I can think of maybe 5 characters in all of fiction where I'd try to get more than one default costume), but I like such reissues. I'm of the opinion that such big looks should get remade every so often. Not every year, but re-releases of the ultra-big players don't hurt. I'm rooting for ROTS to get the same treatment in 2025, because I'm not paying 1K for a doll in the aftermarket.

A lot of things are like that. A friend of mine bought a house for 300k several years back. We've just bought a house for 300k as well and it's half the size. He's is probably close to 500k now.

Headsculpt looked different from BOBF to me. And I agree that while it's perfect from some angles, it also looks odd at others.

Wasn't the original Luke in Vader helmet underscaled?

So if this is a re-use there's no improvement. I looks like it might be a different helmet sculpt though. The piece by his left eye sticks out further at the top.

Might just be not seeing the top part due to the angle though.


I have the DX07 but will probably get the deluxe of this.

Hopefully the jacket is longer, because the production version of DX07 looks like it shrank in the wash and doesn't cover his waistband.

(Seeing this today finally prompted me to put the spare ESB Yoda head and hands on my 1990s Kenner Yoda, and repaint his feet lol).
