18:03 CET and the chair is preordered from Exo-6. What a wonderful addition to the figures, I hope the backdrop will also be available soon.

Oh, and thank you for refunding the shipping flatrate that had already been charged with the down payment mere minutes after the order went through. You guys are the best!
No one in the toy industry had done this with backdrops or anything similar. We are the first. I was also the first dude who used magnets on 1/6 back in 2009 (because of TOS phasers and comm)

The chair looks great, but Popcultcha still hasn't received Picard so I'm genuinely unsure if I'm going to get the Picard I ordered.

In the future I'll order directly from Exo to avoid this issue, but right now it doesn't make sense to buy a chair for a figure I may or may not receive, haha.

What is NRD? Non refundable deposits? Why it makes a difference? We charge a non refundable deposit too.
But you're the manufacturer and have charged the non-refundable deposit from the beginning. Those two points make sense to me.

Big Bad Toy Store had First Contact Data and Picard, Janeway, EMH, even Mirror Spock all without the NRD then it was as though they realized what quick, high sellers these figures were and began slapping the NRD on, starting with Judge Q. BBTS also had a non-disclosed rule of anything $200 and over would have the NRD. There have been plenty of recent items where their price on an item was just under $200, yet had the NRD.

Some collectors can afford these items upon release, but just $20 at the wrong time can cause them to miss out. That's why I look for retailers who don't charge the NRD.

🤣 I think I might be a bit subjective because i have not been in this business too long, I might be wrong. I think they have No confidence in us or 1/6 Trek so they slapped a NRD onto the sales price, or they have a msrp threshold to collect NRD.

We do it to minimize our production risk. We can afford slightly too little, but surely in difficulties if we over produce.

The chair is very cool, but a bit pricey... Najiin can you give us backdrop's measures?

I ordered the chair through bbts I figured it might help build EXO-6's credibility with them, I just gotta keep my fingers crossed that my sideshow waitlisted Picard goes through lol

Approximation only:
600mm X 400mm
Center panel 300mm X 400mm
Side panels 150mm X 400mm
300 ppi
Professional 36lb poster paper stock
Anamorphic illusion graphics for side panels.
(Not Final)

Ideal distance behind chair: 75mm to 150mm
Ship flat as documents.

Slightly disappointing that the backdrop doesn’t come with the chair at least.
Packaging issue. Lots of dead space, 2x the shipping cost of a figure, 30% increase in packaging cost, all because of that 64 Sq inches of empty space. Couriers charge whatever the highest in volume or in dimensions.

Adding to the above, production can't wait for the backdrop proto. There are other productions on own calendar. The chair molds start today.

Questions: Is the backdrop going to be folded, flat, or curved? Is it going to be made out of cardboard or something more durable?

Bi-fold, approx:
6 inches-12 inches-6 inches.

Both sides fold flat inward of the main background.

Paper stocks have not been finalized.
