So many great expressions in those film stills but we got stuck with a weird one. Funnily enough this expression reminds me of open mouthed ROTJ Luke and it suits Landon better.

Landon is cool.

If and when Hot Toys do make a Bespin Han, we can expect an excellent Harrison Ford likeness. The figure will, however, have this facial expression:

How did you manage to get the collar down?

Until I used the double sided tape it would pop straight back up like Ming's cape...

I tried working with the wire, which moves loosely inside the collar, but couldn't get any help from it.
Hi @Asta
I turned his head ever so slightly to the left and tilted the head down whilst I had flattened the collar.
The head is keeping the collar down making it look flat.
Hope that makes sense and helps?
cheers

Finally got my Lando opened up. It's great to finally have him in the collection and I like the figure overall but I have to be honest, futzing with his cape is about as fun as trying to set up the Sideshow Jawas.

It's a right pain. Not fun at all. After I changed his boots, then changed them back again, I had to go through it once more.

Feels like a never ending process of trying different folds that the weak little wires will hold. I wish it had been heavier material, or weighted at the bottom, and unwired like some of the other capes in the line which drape naturally.

Need some advice here-

I got this in today and it looks good for the most part- no obvious defects or scratches on the head sculpt etc.

Unfortunately the wire from the cape collar pierced the pleather and is exposed.
from what I can tell, it shifted so there's no wire at the end on the opposite side. I haven't tried flattening the collar out to push it back in, but I wonder if I should even bother since the material is now breeched and the wire could easily work it's way back out eventually and scratch the head or tear the shirt.

Is this a returnable issue or just a grit your teeth and bear it common annoyance with these things?

I got it from a retailer a couple states over, if that makes any difference.

Seems like you should be able to push the wire back in with your finger, it's not like the hole is going to show. Else just clip the wire off with a wire cutter. I purposely removed the wires from both of my Krennics for fear of staining his white cape.

Yeah, my first though was to simply clip the excess off- or try to push it back in- but I'm concerned that the piercing of the pleather is going to accelerate that fabrics deterioration- or that the hole it created is going to expand with futzing (and that collar needs to be futzed with).

I got off an email to the retailer so I'll see what they suggest.

Would prefer not to send the whole thing back for an exchange since the rest of it looks to be without issue and I might not be so lucky with the next one.

I don't want to go too hard on you but to me that does not warrant an email. It's more a minor annoyance than it is an actual defect. Sometimes it's best to be at least a little bit self sufficient and handle the small stuff on your own.

Looks awesome tonton. That’s the pose I was planning on, when he first comes out to greet his guests when they land.
