It wasn't too bad Jay! I definitely enjoyed watching it! Every time I see this beautiful, I want one in my collection! Unfortunately, I have no room for one. I had to settle for the Lego version, which is a thing of beauty on its own!

I'm grateful, thanks. I think the Lego is amazing, the HT, while awesome is highly impractical and fragile. It scratches reeeeeeaaaly easily and the paint scheme is more Batman Returns than Batman.

Thanks for the video.
Never get rid of this Batmobile. Got a special emotional link with it because Batman 89 was my first experience of a ?*modern blockbuster*? in theater. Was 8 and will never forget it
This HT Batmobile is the item which really put me in the hobby. The first unboxing was so amazing. Everything was so huge, from the box to the car!

Thanks a lot. That's an awesome display! How do you keep it clean?

Yes, the Lego 89 Batmobile and Batwing are amazing! Got one for Christmas and one for my birthday. Both of them together was way less than trying to afford this baby. Lol

If you look closely the paint job isn’t so different between 89 and Returns. In Returns the car is full black and gives the feeling of a deeper black but in 89 it’s not mat black but satin black too IMO.

Thanks but it’s not a display. :wink1:
It’s the last pic I’ve took before pack it back when my son was born and my room became his bedroom.
Before that it was in a Sora display case.

But I hope I could move in a few years and have back my room. I plan to save to invest in a wall of Moducase or something like that.

Still the grail and centerpiece of my collection.

Rumor mill around the Lego forums is that Flash movie next year will feature multiple batmobiles including this one since they plan to release them in Lego potential play set formats!

I?m ready for another reissue!!

Wasn't this release a nightmare for Hot Toys logistically back in the day? Off the charts shipping and a bunch of scratches in transit?

It was, but it was fixed on the second batch because they didn?t use the right materials to ship it with the box. I got mine directly from Secret base in HK through an friend and he shipped it raw and it came flawless BUT if they reissued the Tumbler I wouldn?t mind another 1989 batmobile I guess.

While I think it's extremely unlikely for the Batmobile to not make an appearance in the Flash film I think the logistics involved would prevent this from seeing another run as the box is stupidly huge that you could ask to be buried in it and it would take a lot of real estate in collectible stores, precious space they could be stocking other figures.

The UK based prop car maker working on the Flash - Picture Vehicles Limited showed a teaser of the 89 Batmobile 2 weeks ago on Instagram. They have since removed it....

So Keaton will be playing a 70 year old Batman or will they be using that de-aging technology on him?
