The chair will be powered by low voltage USB (any computer can power or power pack). Not going to make it to use replaceable batteries for environmental concern.

The main selling point of the TOS chair was the upholstery. We will try to do the same with the E-E chair. We will see how it turns out.

Awesome news about the Enterprise-E chair.

The E is my favorite ship, never expected someone to make one though.

Would love the D's chair as well.

The crews hardly remind people of the Ships.

The chairs visually can link the crew to their ships. Because they were part of the ship. They are Unique. The ships played significant row in Star Trek.

I see the chairs are worthwhile collectibles in Trekverse. Of course, in my opinion only, and my opinions are obviously one sided. [emoji16]

I have to pay and paid for this game. Its Fun must be maximize to be worthwhile.

Join me and sink into this Trek figures fantasy in 1/6 scale fun [emoji4]

This is all my fault. When I was almost finished with my scratch-built TOS captain's chair, QMX announced their version. I just finished 3D printing a TNG captain's chair-now EXO-6 has announced a captain's chair. I guess it's not from the TNG series, so my reasoning is not completely valid. It's hard to see from the pictures, but it looks to be different from the TNG series one? A captain needs their chair in Star Trek.

I will have the same problem if we get Koloth's wish for a TOS sickbay bed ;)

You did an excellent job with the TOS chair. I ended up getting "2"!
Failed... that's no On Off.... I assumed the electrical guy will Naturally included such circuit and he assumed I wanted the chair with no On Off.

Otherwise, the upholstery was done well. Originally, my TOS chair concept (before joining QMx), i wanted the chair to control those studio scale Trek models.

From the day i found out the chair didnt include an on off switch, I don't assume anymore, and I will check work with magnifier when I hear someone answers we saying, ?No Problem.?

No one would say, ?No Problem? in front of me anymore.

That is great, with the Captains chair established, lot's of other STOS stations / figure staging areas that could also be explored.

The forward navigation helms, chairs and consoles, could probably be broken in two parts.

There was a main meeting table (not sure if the chairs repeat from the bridge? If so can be re-purposed throughout sets)

etc.

As for more Captains's Chairs down the line, how would one do La Sirena and Rios' Captain's chair? ...with those floating holo-controls and readouts?
With translucent etched acrylic?
combined with light up ...
Not sure if these work on a curve?

If possible, that would look pretty fantastic floating around him, especially if they could be made to light up or glow? would make a great display, particularly in the somewhat dark hull.

Not sure how much consistency there was in his fantasy-push-button game...:lol
LOL does he "snap" his fingers to engage the main ("gearshift") control disc ? Or is that just his style?

I guess the "gearshift" could clip on to his hand, and the faux floating readout panels clipped on a swivel to the chair?
I'm really curious if there is an opportunity to create it, how something like this might even be achieved?

It's probably a moot point, as I doubt there'd be enough interest in a Rios figure anyway. Especially with the hundreds of other Trek characters people are already pushing Nanjin to make.

Whatever you think of new trek, Rios is a much more central character than a lot of the ideas being thrown around.

I have been looking at plexiglass illumination for years, way before anyone today because I was into Perfect Grade Bandai kits 20 years ago. They were the first who used this method in model kits.

But only new trek has these looks, the rest were more like touch pads

Ah, ok. It technically does have an "on/off" button but unfortunately, you have to run the gamut of sound effects before the "off" selection comes up.

It wasn't a big issue for me. I liked just going through each of them. It would have been better if each sound effect had its own separate "on" button. Then just one "off" button to shut all of them down. That would have been the "logical" choice...

Yes, the chairs in the briefing room are the same as those around the ship and on the bridge. There is also a version with armrests, to be seen in the auxiliary control room, the captain's quarters and elsewhere (e. g. the episode Court Martial , in the court room).

So we definitely need those chairs to have the crew seated when tired or working at their respective stations.
