Bein' a fan of the show, as in fanatic not sure "fun" is the right word. "obsessed/rabid/glassy-eyed" probably more accurate.

Haven't spent so much on stuff since around MCU Civil War. Not the Zoolander SSC Mando tho.

Will appreciate a complete art book at some point, with hopefully references to original SW art and lore explaining where the Mando artists got some of their concepts.

Meanwhile can't believe the whining over Baby chowing down some eggs; he swallowed a live frog and ate an unhatched spider and nobody cared. It's like saying eating an egg McMuffin makes u a bad person.

I am absolutely craving my next fix this season has me hook line and sinker.

Friday midnight can?t come fast enough everything else is just noise.

My nose awaits that delicious white Mando baby yoda powder lol

 Least on the east coast I've wondered how many others are up at 3:02 AM. Like, since Mando released, do satellites pick up the glow of thousands of TVs and monitors booting up, rippling across the planet every Thursday night? *There was a great disturbance in the Force...*:lol

If you are a parent you will completely appreciate the latest episode. Plus clearly The Child is going through a growth spurt.

I thought it was pretty funny when it was gobbling eggs. People are too easily triggered these days Lol

Next episode Baby Yoda makes a shocking confession to the Mechanic Lady about the fate of the eggs.

LOLOLOL

I needed that laugh ......

We like to manufacture outrage, but fail to be outraged at the truly outrageous nonsense that goes on everyday.

No, we are upset about what a puppet does.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but was doing a re-watch and it is possible Frog Lady's husband was in Chapter 5 The Gunslinger. They show one of those species in the cantina and I thought he left early to set up their home. So, the timeline would make sense to have him in season 1 then tie up in season 2.

If so, pretty cool.

With Baby Yoda's new reputation as an a$$hole they might as well have an encounter where he mauls a baby Rodian to death. The we can all argue over who bit first...

Re-ranking my episodes and Sanctuary has to be the worst episode of this show by far.

Mando gets hit in the helmet by a fist, is completely dazed and falls to the ground. Cara gets hit in the head and is completely fine. Utterly ridiculous. Beskar can stop a blaster bolt but not the Feminist Fists of Justice!

Mando completely acts like an idiot in the final battle, totally clueless. But then not two episodes later elaborately controls a prison by closing and shutting doors and stalks down his prey with ease... but luring an AT-ST three feet is just too much. Guess he was too dumb to shoot out the windows too.

Pointless romance sub-plot that feels cringe and of course that woman is the strongest most accurate bravest town person there ever was.

This is the most Disneyesque episode of the show by far, following the same sad formula their movies always do, girl power good and superior!

It's like these people don't know how to write female characters without putting down the main character of the show. Really wish Howard wasn't returning to direct because I guarantee it will be the same garbage.

I agree it was one of the weakest episodes, but I don't think Howard is completely to blame. A quick check shows that Favreau wrote the episode, so in this case he is the "these people" to which you referred. I guess nobody's perfect. :wink1:

I also don't think we should assume that Mando's helmet makes him immune to concussions/getting his bell rung. To my knowledge beskar doesn't have the same fictional dampening properties of vibranium, so if he's hit just right with enough force his brain would still slosh around in his cranium - IMO. But they probably were more focused on setting up Cara as a badass sidekick vs. helmet property continuity. :lol

Agreed. It was like an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess or something along those lines.

(I enjoyed that show back in the day, but The Mandalorian is not that show.)

Mando gets hit in the helmet by a fist, is completely dazed and falls to the ground.

In boxing, head-gear will reduce the force of an impact but it doesn't really protect you from concussions and having your bell rung. I've never worn a helmet but I can attest to head-gear not making you immune to impacts; I imagine helmets do things like prevent fractures or what would otherwise be catastrophic damage.

I'd have to re-watch the episode but more troubling is that she wouldn't break the bones in her hand from hitting a helmet really hard with a fist. Maybe she's been taking a lot of Space Vitamins.

Cara gets hit in the head and is completely fine. Utterly ridiculous. Beskar can stop a blaster bolt but not the Feminist Fists of Justice!

I don't disagree that they were going heavy-handed with the Girl Power again -- they didn't have to oversell it, given that the actor is a pro MMA fighter. But some people do eat punches better than others. I could be wrong because I can't remember what hit her where, but anyway we're in broad agreement, I'm just nerd-picking details.

[...]Really wish Howard wasn't returning to direct because I guarantee it will be the same garbage.

Yeah, she seems very weak. More Deborah Chow, please!

Let's not forget that Favreau is part of The Machine and he makes Product. :lecture

Yep. See above.

Tony Stark probably shouldn't survive most of the impacts he sustains as Iron Man if it were realistic. Seems like there's little to no room for cushioning inside his suits and with the speed he travels at and the maneuvers he pulls I feel like his body would be getting ripped apart at the joints and smashed.

Oh yeah, his suits are definitely in the 'space magic' category. If they were actually capable of that level of speed and maneuverability, he'd be Jell-O very quickly.
