Johns hated snyder because he all cared about was $$$$ and snyder with his original stories were in his way. He wanted all his comic stories to be published by warner into movies but with snyder that would never happen. He planned to replace snyder with whedon long before his daughter died but warner wouldn't budge. He intentionally sabotaged bvs and suicide squad in post editing to achieve this goal but warner still stuck with snyder. Then snyders daughter died during justice league, and he asked warner for time off and to delay production thats when johns seized his moment and assumed control of justice league- he convinced warner to replace snyder with whedon citing that delays would cost them money and theyd fall further behind marvel in market share. So he got rid of everything snyder filmed then rushed trash to the market using whedon to finish a movie in 5 months all the while leaving zacks name on it (not a single shot of it was his). He is a complete bastard someone you would never want to work with. He is the sole reason why ben affleck gave up on the batman stories he was writing and why you saw sadfleck in that infamous video cause johns was causing chaos and deliberately sabotaged bvs, the film we saw in the theaters was not the same film ben saw nor with suicide squad
I always suspected there was more to it than just Snyder's mourning. Seemed too "convenient".
I was still fine with JL, but the Snyder Cut can only be better. I didn't even mind this scene:
