It also may just be for this year alone... sell a few pieces to celebrate the anniversary. Don't think they are going to go very far into the saga, especially if they hit the same small sales numbers NECA stumbled over a couple years back.

The anniversary gives them an excuse to do... something.

I sure wished FOX would have contacted NECA and asked them to produce a run of those BEAUTIFUL Julius figures to be included as a premium in some sort of the video compilation to celebrate the anniversary. THAT would have been cool. You know NECA still has the molds just waiting a reason, and the money, to run them.

I would have bought the movie for the Nth time for that figure. They certainly missed a trick there.

Curious to what Weta will do. I'll be looking out.

If you guys haven't checked out this book yet, I highly recommend it:

It's a large, coffee-table book filled with tons of photos and interesting behind the scenes info on the original film (and ONLY the original film).

Not released here in the UK until Thursday... I have it on preorder and am counting the minutes. If it's anywhere near as good as his Star Wars and Indy volumes, it'll be fantastic!

I've thoroughly enjoyed this book so far. Learning so much stuff that I didn't know before. Ironically, the day I started to read about the production moving to the Fox Ranch for the Taylor chase scenes was the same day I found out that the entire area is engulfed in flames. SO sad. I really wanted to visit the Ranch someday.

Yep... I believe so.

My Mutant Jailor has another difference... it was signed by the late Don Pedro Colley.

Met him a couple of times at conventions... a really nice man. I really enjoyed our conversations.

Oh absolutely. The Fox ranch and Tunisia are my two most wanted 'pilgrimage' destinations.

I wrote to Mezco and asked if they would ever consider doing a 1:12 Classic POTA line and they responded with "Anything is possible!"
Would anyone else be interested in POTA figures in 1:12 with real type clothing?
