I wonder if he had requested sauerkraut and they were out
Spoiler:What's with DC not being able to cast the right people for their villains? Seriously. David Thewlis is a great actor, but he's completely unconvincing as the God of War. I rolled my eyes every single time he tried to sound tough and menacing.
Finally got around to seeing the movie last week. As much as I adored it, I had one major gripe with it...

Just became the top grossing DCEU film domestically, and looks like it will have another good weekend.

Spoiler:There was no reason for him to sound tough and menacing. He was an omnipotent entity who's been forced to live amongs humans for centuries. He had to become cunning and patient in order to maintain his powers and plot World War. It's only fittin' for him to sound tired and indifferent. Thewlis was perfect.
Now, Gadot was an awful casting choice to begin with.
Wonder Woman lassoed another solid weekend, finishing fourth with an estimated $15.57 million as the film's domestic cume now stands at $346.1 million after five weeks in release. Internationally the film added another $13.6 million as its overseas cume grows to over $360 million for a global tally of $708 million. At this point Wonder Woman is the third largest domestic release among all DC Comics based features and becomes one of the top 100 all-time worldwide grossers.
Her dumb and unconvincing expression is too damn perfect for this.
